"Jean is pale moonlight on black water. Both cold and distant, his light is merely a reflection of something greater than himself. And in that beautiful, drug induced ardor, Harry wants to bask in it as well. It calls to him in siren splendor, beckoning him to plunge into the unforgiving depths. Yes, siren like a lure, siren like a warning. Wonât you come and canonize a new saint into your pantheon of lost loves, drugs, and sorrows? Itâs natural, isnât it? That beautiful, golden day wanes into freezing, black night; all draped in the hazy, scar studded reflection of a singular satellite. Locked in orbit to a body whose gravity is stronger than its own."

Also, want to give a quick warning that some content within this story may be triggering for certain viewers. (I have some of the specifics tagged on AO3 if you wish to know them).
And huge shout-out to my friends @saltnpepperbunny and @thetruegge for beta reading this project! Their works have been a massive inspiration for me and I am more than honored to have had them contribute to this story. Please go check them out on DA, Comic Fury, Tumblr, etc. Their comics are AMAZING!
Anyway, I really hope you enjoy! :D
âMesa! I need your help! Reach your head up to where that Shinx is!âÂ
Akariâs shiny Steelix stretched her long rocky body upright in front of the pine tree, raising her head level to the distressed Shinx near the top. Akari had been surveying a group of Cascoon in Floaro Gardens when she heard the PokĂŠmonâs cries for help, and had raced to the tree it clung to. She was still stumped as to how it managed to get up such a tall tree.
âRwahh rawh raawh rawh?â
Mesa was looking down at Akari, concerned. She cast a shadow over where Akari was.Â
âIs it not coming down?â Akari called up. Mesa lightly nodded. âAlright, hang on!â Akari looked around at her other five Pokemon with her for this quest. The team included a Luxray, Hisuian Typhlosion, Floatzel, shiny Skuntank, and shiny Bronzong. âMake sure to protect Mesa, okay, guys?â The five Pokemon all nodded unanimously.
Akari grabbed onto the jagged barbs of Mesaâs golden rocks and climbed her like a ladder. She pulled herself up onto the top of Mesaâs head, then flopped onto her stomach. She looked up at the top of the tree where the Shinx was stuck, arms and legs wrapped around a branch.
âHey,â Akari said softly, reaching her hand toward the Shinx. He curled his eyebrows inward and scooted himself a few steps back, his tail hitting the tapering trunk of the tree. âItâs okay, Iâm here to help you get down!â Akari spoke, slowly balancing herself up on her knees.Â
The Shinxâs body visibly tensed up as it looked down in horror. Akari looked down to see the many layers of swaying branches leading down to the ground below. She looked back at the Shinx, sparks of electricity coming out of his fur.
âIt's okay to be scared. Itâs part of your instincts, after all. But youâll need to come to me if you want me to help get you down,â said Akari, opening her arms out. The Shinx seemed to hesitate as he looked down again. He then looked back at Akari to see her warm smile. He slowly reached a paw out and dug his claws into a section of the branch. The Shinx then began to carefully climb his way toward Akari, who waited patiently. âThatâs it! Youâve got this!â The branch started to lean as the Shinx got closer to Akari. âKeep going! Youâre almost there!â
Suddenly, a gust of wind shook the branch, throwing off the Shinxâs center of gravity. Akari was quick to respond, reaching her hands out to catch the Pokemon as he slipped. She looked at the Shinx, who slowly opened his eyes.Â
âYou did it!â Akari cheered, holding up the little Pokemon. The Shinx looked down at his rescuer and smiled. âAlright, Mesa! You can bring us back down now!â
âRawr!â
Akari sat with the little Shinx in her arms as Mesa slowly turned and placed her head on the ground. Akari slid off Mesa's head expecting to see the rest of her team clapping in delight. Instead, she saw her Floatzel sitting on the ground, her Typhlosion and Bronzong by its side. Upon getting closer, Akari noticed electricity radiating around her fur, making her tremble.   Â
âNixie, are you okay?â Akari dug into her satchel and pulled out a potion and Cheri Berry, then knelt down to hand them to Nixie. âWhat happened? How did you get paralyzed?â
Nixie pointed her finger forward as she began to consume the items. Akari turned around to see the backs of her Luxray and Skuntank in the distance, appearing to be in a fighting stance.Â
âOh,â said Akari. She looked at her Typhlosion and Bronzong. âSolaris, Jolly Dime, stay here while Nixie recovers, okay?â Solaris and Jolly Dime both nodded.
Still holding the shaking Shinx, Akari jogged up to her other Pokemon. The two Pokemon appeared to be hyper focused on something in front of them. Akari then saw two wild Luxray squaring up against the duo.Â
âElectra? Strawberry? Can you guys both move aside a bit?â Akari asked. Electra and Strawberry both glanced back at Akari with a look of hesitation. âDonât worry, I know what theyâre here for!â
The Luxray and shiny Skuntank took a few small steps to clear a path for Akari, giving her a clearer view of the wild Pokemon. A look of shock momentarily appeared on the two Luxrayâs faces upon seeing what Akari was carrying.Â
âGrrrrrrrr!â The two Luxray puffed their manes, extended their claws, and bared their sharp teeth. Akari cautiously approached them. âHisssssssss!â
âItâs okay!â Akari said, gently placing the Shinx on the ground. She quickly trotted backward.Â
Once she was at a safe distance, Akari watched the Luxray and Shinx. The two Luxray studied the Shinx, sniffed it, then relaxed their tense bodies, retracting their claws and teeth.Â
âMroooww!â
Both of the Luxray smiled, then happily embraced the Shinx, bunting heads and purring. Another Shinx ran around from behind the Luxrays and playfully headbutted one of them. One of the Luxray scooped up the Shinx with its paw and licked his ear.Â
Akari smiled as she watched the heartwarming scene. But suddenly, something spiked inside of her. A smacking gut feeling made her organs bounce, reminding her of that shameful moment when she forgot to restock on potions before heading out on an expedition, nearly resulting in a dire situation for her. But Akari knew for a fact she had all her items this time; she had just used them for Nixie after all. She had no idea why she felt a hole whirling inside her stomach this time.
âMrrow!âÂ
Akari looked down to see the family of Pokemon smiling at her. The Shinx trotted back to rub his head against her feet before happily running back to his family. The Luxray looked at Akari one last time before scampering away into the woods, the nearby gracideas flourishing as they passed. Akari smiled again, but the black hole in her stomach only continued to expand. Frustration began to combat the warm glow from Akariâs charitable act.Â
âRawr?â
Akari looked back at Mesa, who was now sitting next to Electa.Â
âGood job, Mesa!â said Akari, patting her on the head. Akari looked around at her other Pokemon. âGreat work, everyone! We managed to help a Pokemon in need!â
Akari took her notebook out of her satchel and jotted down a few things on the Shinx page. She found herself doodling a quick sketch of the Shinx with its family. Akari then felt the shade of the trees casting a breeze of cool air over her. The glow of the setting sun gave the color of her surroundings a warm filter of orange.Â
âAlright everyone, we should start heading back,â Akari announced. She walked back over to where Nixie, Solaris, and Jolly Dime were. âFeeling better, Nixie?âÂ
âBui!â the Floatzel answered, hopping onto her feet.
âThink you have enough energy to walk with us or do want me to return you to yourââ
âBui bui!â Nixie suddenly sprints far ahead of Akari, enthusiastically jumping as passed the other Pokemon. Akari chuckled.
âIâm gonna take that as a yes.âÂ
The group of seven began to make their way toward Aspiration Hill, which was where they had set up camp that day. It was a scenic walk through the forest and plains. The sounds of awakening Kricketot became louder and louder as the sunlight continued to fade. The fresh scent of pine trees and flowers made the air all the more soothing.
Akari tried to take in the setting, but the feeling in her stomach kept taking over. It was a weird combination of adrenaline and anxiety. She could feel her heart racing against her chest. Akari attempted to resist, but it seemed to have the upperhand. Everything had gone well that day; there was absolutely nothing that warranted Akari being worried, right? Akari tried to shift her focus over to a wild Starly, who was flying into the branches of an oran tree. But when she saw the Starly land by a nest full of eggs and brush against another Starly, the mystery feeling only grew stronger. Akari looked back at her notebook to review her notes from the day. But seeing the sketch of the Shinx and Luxray only made her feel worse.
Akari looked around at the Pokemon walking by her side. Nixie was way ahead of her, playfully dashing on all fours. Jolly Dime wasnât too far behind, catching up to her as they hovered through the air. Akari looked to her right to see Solaris smiling and stretching his arms out as he soaked up the evening sun, exactly what Akari wanted to be doing at that moment. Looking to her left, Akari could see Strawberry stopping to sniff a patch of flowers. That was when Electra suddenly collided with the Skuntank, seeming to have pounced at a nearby leaf. Mesa looked down at the two Pokemon with concern. Strawberry pushed Electraâs face away with a smirk. Electra, Strawberry, and Mesa all laughed. Akari chuckled at the scene, feeling a slight relief from the pressure inside her.
Akari approached the top of Aspiration Hill. Professor Laventon, a man wearing a white lab coat and purple winter hat, was standing by the campsite. Akariâs three other Pokemon, her Beautifly, female Hippowdon, and alpha Hisuian Goodra, were sitting nearby to accompany him. Laventon turned his head toward Akari at the sound of her approaching footsteps.Â
âAkari! There you are, my girl! We were just about to start looking for you!â said Laventon, jogging over to her.Â
âSorry Iâm late! My Pokemon and I were just saving a wild Shinx from a tree,â said Akari. She opened her notebook to the Shinxâs page and handed it to the professor.Â
âOho! Itâs all jolly good, Akari!â said Laventon, looking through her notes. âAnd I see that you reunited it with its family. Well done, my girl!â Â
âThanks! It was a cute thing to witness,â said Akari. Her eyes moved to the ground as she felt that feeling grabbing onto her again. She quickly looked back up at Laventon as she tried to shift out of it. âIâm quite happy with how my research has been lately. I really love working with my Pokemon!â
Laventon smiled. âGlad to hear that! Who would have thought that a teenager who fell from the sky would be so much help to us!â The memory of waking up on a beach with no recollection of who she was or how she got there somehow hit Akari harder than usual. Laying on the ground confused, starving, and covered in scratches was not something Akari wished to experience again.Â
âYou did, apparently. You were the one who took me in after I fell, remember?â she replied, trying to keep her smile in place.
âOf course I do! How could I not help a child in such need?â said Laventon.
More memories avalanched through Akariâs mind, knocking her smile into a bitter frown.
âIf you thought I was the one tearing the sky like everyone else in the village didâŚâ she moaned. Chants of the angry villagers started echoing through her head, flashing back to when the sky turned red.Â
Laventon gently placed a hand on Akariâs shoulder. âHey, what matters is that they were wrong and everything is okay now.â He sighed as Akari looked up at him. âSorry to bring that up. I just hope you understand that you did not deserve to be treated that way, my dear.â
Akari smiled as Electra lovingly nuzzled her in the leg. Something behind her suddenly yanked her off her feet. Akari squealed as her Hisuian Goodra had ambushed her into a tight and slimy hug.Â
âNautilus!â Akari giggled. Laventon and the Pokemon laughed as the Goodra continued to constrict her. âYou guys!â
âSee Akari? Weâre all here for you! Now let's head on back to the village. I bet Rei is waiting for us as we speak,â Laventon said as Nautilus put Akari down. âThink you can guess what weâre having for dinner tonight?âÂ
âOh Laventon, why do you have to ask me such a difficult question?â chuckled Akari. âHmmm, Iâm probably wrong, but are we by any chance having potato mochi?â
âOh Akari! You know me too well, my girl!â laughed Laventon.
The group departed the campsite as they headed out of the Obsidian Fieldlands. Akari took a breath of relief as the flashbacks faded away. But as she walked, something else buoyed back to the surface of her mind. That nagging feeling that something was off. Akari still didnât know what it was, but it was growing stronger.
***
The group entered through the east gate of Jubilife Village as the sun continued to set. The village was a compact place mostly consisting of small houses and shops. Most of the facilities, including the Galaxy Team headquarters where Akari, Laventon, and other members of the research team worked, were all along the path straight ahead. The path south to the gate led to the village homes and Pokemon pastures, crossing the river that cut through the village. It was all normally comforting for Akari to see; especially after long expeditions out in the wilderness. Yet she still couldnât shake off the uneasiness inside of her.Â
Akari looked over at all of her Pokemon. âDo you guys want to go play in the pasture? I bet Marie has prepared some delicious food for you!â she asked. The Pokemon all nodded before enthusiastically running for the pastures. Akari and Laventon continued on the path straight ahead of them, passing the clothier, hairdresser, and general store. They then reached The Wallflower, the local restaurant right across from the Galaxy HQ. Sure enough, Rei was already sitting at their usual table right outside the restaurant, his Raichu sitting right next to him. There were three plates of Potato Mochi on the table as well as an empty plate that the Raichu was licking.
âThere you guys are! I thought you would never make it!â Rei said as Akari and Laventon took their seats across from him.
âOho! I see our food is already here!â exclaimed Laventon.Â
âWell I needed to get the order in before the place shut down,â stated Rei, looking at Laventon before taking another bite.
âOh come on. You donât need to remind me every time, my boy. Why donât you cut your elders some slack?â responded Laventon.Â
âLate is late,â said Rei .
âHey, better late than never is what I always say. Now let's enjoy our food,â said Laventon, grabbing a piece of potato off his plate.
Akari looked down at her plate of mochi. The thought of eating somehow made her feel nauseous. It was like a giant sack had already filled all the space inside her stomach. The crisp, smell, and soft texture of potato mochi was normally one of Akariâs favorite things in the whole world. Yet it was not something she wanted to be near at that very moment. Akari glanced over at the others chowing down, picked up a piece off her plate, then took a small bite.
Reiâs Raichu dropped his clean plate onto the table, licking his lips. He then nudged his wielder on the shoulder, looking up at him with big sparkling pupils.
âReally, Chu? Youâre still hungry?â Rei muffled while chewing a piece of mochi.Â
âChu chu!â The Raichu clapped his little brown paws together.Â
âNo Chu, I just fed you. Iâm not gonna give you my food just because youâre soâŚâ Reiâs eyebrows loosened as his eyes met with Chuâs. â...CuteâŚâÂ
âChu!âÂ
Slowly nibbling at the food on her plate, Akari envied the amount of appetite her friend and his Pokemon had. It was like someone had stolen all of the hunger sensation out of her body and given it to those two. Â
âHe can have some of mine,â said Akari, handing an entire chunk of potato to Rei.
âNo need to do that, Akari. I can handle Chuâs cuteness and not give in to hisâŚâ
âChu!â Chuâs eyes sparkled brightly.
âPleaseâŚâ sighed Rei, putting his hand on his forehead.Â
âItâs okay, Rei! Iâm not that hungry right now,â said Akari, putting the potato slice on Reiâs end of the table.Â
âAre you sure? Youâre always starving at this time,â said Rei, raising an eyebrow.
âI, uhh, snacked on a little too much of that trail mix today,â said Akari. She couldnât explain the real reason for her lack of appetite. Not even she knew why her insides felt clogged up. Like a bunch of wet paper had gotten stuck in her stomach.
âWell, in that caseâŚâ Rei picked up the piece of potato and looked at his Raichu, who was looking very excited. âOnly this one time, got that?!âÂ
âChu!âÂ
Laventon smiled as he watched the Raichu happily chow down on the potato.
âIt does seem that evolution can make a Pokemon extra hungry,â the Professor commented, observing the Pokemon. âAs would make sense. After all, evolving does appear to use up quite a lot of a Pokemonâs energy. I imagine that a Pokemon would need to be quite healthy in order to undergo such a process.â
âSeems to make sense,â chuckled Rei, watching his Raichu lick his paws. âLooks like Iâve taken good care of him.â
âYouâve done a jolly good job taking care of him indeed, my boy!â exclaimed Laventon. âI know you wanted to keep him a Pikachu, but his feelings said otherwise. You respected your Pokemonâs wishes and got him that Thunderstone even if that wasnât what you were hoping to do. That, in my eyes, is what makes a true Pokemon wielder.â
âAwww thanks,â said Rei, lightly blushing. âI may not be able to comfortably carry him on my shoulders anymore, but heâs still my little Chu!â He patted Chu on the head before squeezing him in a tight hug.
âRei!â
Akari turned around to see a familiar couple approaching the table. Both were slumped yet were smiling, eyebags almost as dark as their messy navy hair. Â
âOh hey Mom! Hey Dad!â said Rei, standing up from his seat. Akariâs stomach began to whirl again.
âHey kiddo!â the dad said, giving Rei a hug. âWeâre finally done with work today.â
âAh Lumia! Taiyo! How have you two been?â Laventon asked, waving at the parents.
âWeâre managingâŚâ answered Lumia, wiping sweat off her forehead. âLong day as usual. But weâre more interested in hearing how youâre doing,â she said, looking at Rei.
âIâm doing great!â responded Rei. âHad a nice trek in Cobalt Coastlands today. I saw some Spheal were clapping on the beach. It was adorable!â
âWeâre so glad to hear that!â said Taiyo, hugging Rei tighter. Â
âHow about you two?â asked Lumia, looking at Laventon and Akari.
âJolly good, my dear!â replied Laventon.
âOh, Iâm fine,â said Akari, her leg rapidly bouncing under the table. She clenched her jaw as she could hear herself shaking.
âProfessor, I know weâve said this before, but we really appreciate you looking out for our Rei,â said Lumia.
âWe really canât thank you enough, Professor!â exclaimed Taiyo.
âNo need to mention it, it is my pleasure!â said Laventon, blushing with a warm smile. âI know you two are always working tirelessly day after day just to keep yourselves afloat, so it only makes sense that youâd have another pair of eyes looking after your dear son!â
âYou know how nervous we were about letting Rei join the survey corps. We still worry from time to time, but youâve really helped ease that for us! Our little boy has been so much happier these days!â said Lumia.
âI really wish we could repay you more,â sighed Taiyo.
âThereâs no need to stress over it! Iâm always happy to help! If anything ever happens to you two, Iâd take care of Rei as if he were my own son!â exclaimed Laventon, his elbow on the table with his head resting against his hand.
Lumia let out a yawn as she stepped back, seeming to catch herself from falling. âWell, I think itâs about time that we hit the hay.âÂ
âWorking long hours really does something to your body,â said Taiyo, grabbing his back.
âAlright,â said Rei. He turned back to Akari and Laventon. âSee you guys tomorrow!â
âBye Rei!â said Akari, feeling her arms tremble against the table.
âGoodnight my boy! Rest well!â said Laventon.
Akari watched as the family walked away from the table. She was hunched over the table, gripping tightly to the edge of a plank. Her breath was heavy and her face was wrinkled. She watched as the three got further and further until they made a turn into the village neighborhood and left her line of sight. Something about them seemed familiar somehow. Something that caused Akariâs muscles to tense. A realization suddenly hit, widening her eyes and knocking out a loud gasp.
âAkari?âÂ
She jerked her head toward Laventon, realizing that she had done a terrible job hiding all of this.Â
âAre you alright, my girl?â
Akari tightened her grasp on the table, soaking the wood with her sweaty palms. She took a few breaths before opening her mouth. âLaventonâŚâÂ
âIf thereâs something you want to talk about, Iâm all ears,â said Laventon, smiling.
âDo you⌠think I have a family? â she asked. Her feet were digging into the dirt below. âOr⌠will have, since Iâm from the future?â She stared at the splintering wood of the table, her fingers wanting to peel the bits away. âYou know, in the world where I came from?âÂ
Laventon paused, his mouth slightly open. His fingers tapped against the table a couple times.
âWell⌠probably.â Laventon smiled as he gently placed a hand on Akariâs shoulder. âAnd Iâll bet that theyâd be jolly proud of you for what you have accomplished here. Youâve managed to help me discover every species of Pokemon living in Hisui! And how many other teens can say they stopped a rift in reality, my brave girl?âÂ
âThen⌠why am I still here?â Akari sighed. She could feel the worldâs gravity weighing down on her. âWhy hasnât Arceus sent me back yet?â Â
âIâŚIâm afraid I canât answer that question for you, Akari,â sighed Laventon, eyebrows curled inward. âBut if I had to make a hypothesis, Iâd say that they wanted to wait until you were ready.â
âReady to go back?â asked Akari. Laventon nodded.Â
âThey probably sensed the happiness you have with your life here in Hisui and didnât want to take that away from you.âÂ
It was true that Akari was happy here. She loved her Pokemon and the people of Hisui. And she found her job of surveying Pokemon to be surprisingly fun. She always had a blast hiking through forests, wading shallow swamps, riding Basculegion down rivers, climbing mountains with the help of Sneasler, and the most thrilling of all, gliding over the whole region on Braviary, sometimes attempting precarious maneuvers. Akari really felt that she was living her life to the fullest. But she still couldnât help but wonder what she had left behind. Who she had known before she was suddenly sent back in time to Hisui by the Pokemon incarnate of the whole universe. And most importantly, how they were all doing now (even if it wasnât literally now). Without any memories of her past, all Akari could do was speculate.Â
âDo you⌠think I should go back?â Akari asked, looking away from Laventon.
âOh, my dear AkariâŚâ cried Laventon. âIs⌠is that what you want to do?âÂ
âIâŚI donât know,â sighed Akari, looking down at the table. She was paralyzed, shaking like she got hit by Thunderwave. Her vision blurred to tiny sparks dancing in dark swirls. The blood in her head spun, making her dizzy. Somewhere she thought she could hear a very faint scream. A muffled shout tearing through trees. A yelp from far away, further than the most remote point in Hisui. Akari wanted to reach for it, yet some strong force seemed to be working against her. Something to prevent her and the voice from meeting.Â
âI seeâŚâ
Akari blinked out of her frozen state, feeling the wood of the table once again. She looked back up at the Professor, who appeared to be taking heedful notice of her motions.
âWell thereâs no need to rush such a big decision,â Laventon assured, gently placing a hand over Akariâs back. âI imagine there are many factors youâll need to consider, whichever way you goâŚâ The Professor glanced down at the table for a brief second before focusing back on Akari. âBut just know, as much as I would love to always have you around here, Iâll support you in whichever choice you make!â He was smiling, yet there was also a clear drop of sadness in his eyes.Â
âIâll⌠have to think about itâŚâ sighed Akari, sparks of uncertainty surrounding her.
âWell, feel free to talk to me about it anytime if it continues to bother you. Iâll always be available to chat with you, my girl,â said Laventon. Akari smiled, feeling a small weight slip off her back.
***
Akari had a hard time falling asleep that night. Her brain couldnât help but stay awake to allow all of Akariâs thoughts to race through her head. Should she go back to her own world? Could she? Would she? If so, why didnât Arceus even mention anything about that when she met them in the Hall of Origin? They could have at least told her that she didnât have to leave Hisui until she was ready, as Laventon theorized. What if she couldnât go back even if she wanted to? Perhaps that could explain why she lost her memory. Why she couldnât recall a single moment before waking up on that beach, no matter how hard she tried. Â
Akari rolled around on her sleeping mat as all the countless questions spun around her head. Electra, who was lying nearby, perked up at her wielderâs jittery movements. The Luxray climbed onto Akariâs legs before curling up into a warm breathing fluffball.Â
Now stuck in one place, Akari peered up at the window in her room to get an obscured view of the stars. She could barely see Mt. Coronet peeking from a distance. The rift she fell from was gone, but Akari could still reach Arceus by playing the Azure Flute on the summit of the mountain. She could easily ask them to return her to her original home. And even if they couldnât, Akari could at least get an explanation for why not.
Akari thought harder about the situation. What if she had a family that was frantically searching for her? She pictured a pair of distraught parents desperately running from town to town hoping to find their missing daughter. They would ask every resident in their sight, put up signs with her picture, check every nook and cranny of the entire world. But no matter how hard they searched, they would never find her. Because she no longer existed in their time period. And there was no way they could possibly get to her. The idea injected guilt into Akariâs body. Every minute Akari spent in Hisui could be another minute of growing misery for her family.Â
Akariâs whole body trembled. What if she was causing her family and friends more and more pain by staying in Hisui? What if she was supposed to show Arceus her desire to go home after completing their mission? What if she was being selfish by living a fun life in Hisui while who knows how many people had no idea whether or not she was even alive? Akariâs stomach began to squeeze itself as her anxiety worsened. She breathed heavily as a faint feeling of nausea formed in her throat.Â
âAhhhh!â Akariâs whole body shook.
âMrrow?â Electra trilled.Â
The Luxray shifted herself up so she could lay on top of Akari. She purred as she rested her chin on Akariâs chest, putting a gentle vibration against Akariâs pulsing heartbeat. She clung to Electra as her breathing slowed down, soon becoming in perfect sync with Electraâs breathing. She let out a loud exhale as she clutched onto Electra. Akari could feel her muscles relaxing as the nausea began to fade.
âThank you,â Akari whispered. Her beloved PokĂŠmon by her side, she was finally able to get some sleep.

âDreams and honour,â Genesis sighed. âThe makings of a good SOLDIER.â
âMaybe just a good man,â Cloud replied.
âIâm not that either,â Genesis pointed out, placing his coffee cup on the side. âI could see myself loving you, do you realise that? I can feel it rising, this all encompassing feeling, this emotion I was so sure I would never feel again. Things are slow because I am trying not to just jump in without looking where I might land.â
Genesis and Cloud negoatiate their relationship and sleeping arrangements.

What about ovulation and menstruation being different? Imagine that Star Platinum has a fine sense of smell, he smells ovulation coming from the reader, and it's transmitted to Jotaro. Perhaps the reader doesn't have her own stand, so she doesn't know or understand what Jotaro is confused about when his stand hangs over the girl, attracted by the interesting smell and brazenly pokes her nose into the reader's crotch.
Pardon my bad English.
A/N: Don't worry your english was fine. And no, I dont only write for Jotaro I write for others it's just im a little picky asihaveacertaintastejojocharas. This one hereââ is really interesting, I actually thought abt something like this, but didnt really write anything for that idea as I thought it would be gross and plus didn't know which jojo to put this withđ đ đ . Fun fact! Actually I watched video about how men can find the smell of a person whose ovulating or on their period really attractive, Crazy.
Update: So its 1am and I got work in 4 hrs so, if you see mistakes my bad but im really tired so. Gnâ¤
It was weird, actual scratch that it bizarre for Jotaro to see Star platinum float around you and even follow you around places. He could've sworn you said you didn't have a stand as S.P's behaviour wouldn't be this way. The other crusaders were just as confused as S.P was very tamed and behaviored like jotaro not caring to show emotion unless impressed or annyoed.
Advol and kak gave in their suggestions t othe problem with S.P, thinking that you were lying about a stand and that your stand held the ability of some form of invisibility or would shrink itself like the lover stand. The old man suggested it was S.P had a mind of their own now and it was following you around for just shits and giggles. And lastly The fench man thought maybe S.P just liked you more than jotaro now, as each mission of these two days S.P was just hovering by you.
Jotaro didn't take those in, esp the last one. There was something that made S.P like you so much that he couldn't stop following you. It all would make sense that night, after retiring another stand user you and Jotaro had called it a night and went straight to your hotel room. You both went your separate rooms, saying your good byes to one another but even after two hours the S.P was still acting weird.
Clawing on the walls and doors like some cat wanting to get out of its room it was in, Jotaro had almost enough and as his stand never acted this way till you came along. He didn't know what was up but he was going to find out tonight.
Inside your room, you just slipped on your PJs after taking a deserved shower, after getting into and about to turn off your lamp Jotaro came bursting into your room, attitude on full set.
"Jotaro! What are you doing in here-?".
"Shut up, Star platinum search around what the hell is making you crazy". Just as it was commanded S.P began to form appear in its full body and fly over to your bed. You stand in bed confused by the whole thing, only feeling shocked when your covers were pulled off your body and your pj pants ripped away from your legs.
"What the hell?!" You made a attempt to jump off the bed at the invisible forces but was only pined down by what it felt to be a hard knee. You felt as what could be hands roaming your legs and thighs, hot breathing getting closeer to your crotch.
From across the room, Jotaro was finally understanding what was getting to S.P this whole time. It wasnt a hidden stand, or that S.P was losing it, it was that you were...
"On your period..good grief", the Man said as he tilted down his hat to avoid eye contact with you. This was embarrassing for both of you as you were being exposed by a hidden figure to jotaro and jotaro had to find out that not only S.P was losing it over that but also...he was liking the smell too.
Was it gross, hell yeah it was, but..also it wasn't as you smelled different which gave him a weird feeling of arousal that had him not want to grope at his pants at the smell. You were still in bed not sure what was going, troed to make sense of the whole thing.
"Jotaro what the Fuck is going on? What just ripped my pants and why are you jist standing.there? Help me!" You needed help more than answers at that point as the pressure on your chest was still there as S.P still hadn't pull off of you. He had your thighs. Spread open, like some invitation for Jotaro. He would hesitate at first due to how strange this all was, but eventually give up on his worries and walk towards your bed; getting between your legs as S.P had set up for.
You tensed at him, as you and Jotaro seemed to be cool, friends even, not...this.
"Jo-Jotaro, uh what are you doing?", your words shakey as he began to thumb your inner thigh.
"Just stay quiet for abit Y/N, I uh..need to do something for a sec", before you can protest Jotaro had already placed his nose and mouth into your crotch. You made a 'Yip' sound by that. You could uncomfortably feel Jotaro's mouth breathe into your pussy and his tongue pushing between the slits and slightly sucking on your clit. He inhaled smell, feeling more and more in love with it. Though it was kinda gross, Jotaro ignored it as it was getting him hard.
You weren't sure how to feel about this, this was weird, and really gross, but it was somewhat feeling good. You barely just started your period so feeling something other than Cramps was better than anything. You just laid back into your pillows and let jotaro continue
He kissed and sucked at your pussy falling more and more in love with the aroma it was giving, he now understood why S.P was losing his mind over you. Just as Jotaro was about to unzip his pants and possibly fuck you, there was a few soft knocks against your door.
"Hey, is everything okay in there Y/N? We heard you shouting?" The voice advol on the other side came through.
"Fuck," Jotaro said quickly getting off your bed and pulling the covers back on your body. He gave you a look over, when meeting your eyes he quickly looked away, a noticeable flush forming on his cheeks.
"Everything is okay", he said opening the door to Advol and the others. "Y/N, just had a nightmare that's all. I came in to see if they were okay".
"Oh, thank goodness. And I thought they were hurt", Kak said placing an hand on his chest.
"Well as long as they arent seriously hurt than ne better get back to bed before it gets too late", The old man yawned and started making his way back to his room, the others soon did the same.
Before Jotaro could, he popped his head back in your room.
"Uh, Goodnight Y/N. I guess we'll continue this tomorrow night yeah?". You sat in bed, still semi out of it. "Uh...I..uh".
"Yeah we will. Alright, sleep well Y/N". And with that he shut the door, leaving you in your own thoughts.
Okay, so there is character death in this (Loganâs). Thereâs also a lot of the Orange side in it, and I took a big liberty with Orange, and even what had eventually happened with the âLightâ and âDarkâ Sides. And itâs... you know... the time for me to try my hand at it. So, I do hope you guys enjoy it and I hope that itâs okay. ^.^
(Title taken from âNoahâ by Amber Run. Such a good song.)
Logan knows that Logic is always needed in Thomasâ mind. And it will stay in his mind. However, Thomas does not need Logicâs physical form; nothing of that sort. So since thereâs no need for Logicâs form, Logan does not need to stay.Â
So, he doesnât stay. But, the Orange in the corner of his eyes does make him glance over to him.
âHere for a reason?â He asked softly. Orange didnât reply, opting to just watch.
The thing about Logic is that logic never leaves, nor can it be erased from someoneâs mind. People always thirst for more knowledge, and Thomas is no exception to that rule. However, while logic canât be erased or leave the mind, Logicâs physical form can.
Itâs not painful at all. He doesnât remember much of his form fading, just that all his memories and thoughts flicker away. Logan lays flat on his back and watches the clouds in the Mindscape float by. And, he thinks it feels peaceful.
For the first time in a long time, Logan felt⌠peaceful. Orange sat next to him, saying nothing but he hummed a lullaby underneath his breath.
When they were all young, Remus would cling to Logan and babble things that Logan would find interesting and Logan would give Remus certain facts to make him happy. When they were young, Remusâ laughter made Logan feel warm inside because Logan was the only one (besides his brother) to make him laugh and giggle.Â
It would also calm down Remus because he was scared of what heâd become. He was something âevilâ and Logan would inform him that âgoodâ and âbadâ are meaningless in the long run, and Remusâ little smile would keep Logan smiling, too.
Eventually, though, Thomas grew older. And he started trying to lock away Remus and he spent a lot of energy trying to keep him out of his head. It didnât work all the way, but Remus wasnât allowed in the âLightâ sides area anymore, and Logan lost something that allowed him to share his knowledge.
When they were all young, Thomas would come to Logan with stars in his eyes and a bunch of questions that Logan would answer with all the confidence of a six-year-old boy. Thomas and Logan were very, very close when Thomas was younger and Logan loved it. Why wouldnât he?Â
He was made to share the knowledge that heâd accumulated and Thomas loved space. Logan loved space, and he loved sharing the facts of space with Thomas. Logan would babble about how the stars went on for infinity, about how a day on Venus is more than a year here, there might be a planet full of diamonds; the water just floating up there.Â
Thomas would soak it all up, and Logan would beam whenever heâd squeal with delight at the prospect of going to space. âDo you think I can?â Thomas had asked, and Logan smiled.
âOf course,â he said. âAnd Iâll be there every step of the way.â
Roman was a ball of energy that took Loganâs knowledge and build his Mindscape with everything that both annoyed and made Logan absolutely love it. Loganâs favorite was the part where Roman made the stars so Logan and Thomas could go and watch them.Â
But, eventually, Thomas grew apart from Logan and the area was Loganâs alone. He liked space, still, but he preferred adventures and quests to listening to space facts, or learning anything. It didnât make Logan mad, but he was upset that Thomas wasnât as excited as space anymore.Â
Roman found him in the middle of a meteor shower and Logan was staring up. Roman sat down next to him and watched the shower, too, before turning to Logan. âAre you mad?â He asked.Â
âNo,â Logan said honestly. âIâm upset, yeah. But Thomas is growing up, and I guess that means seeing the stars is going to take a backseat.â
âWe can always see them here,â Roman said.Â
âYeah,â Logan admitted. âBut Iâd love to see a real one.â Roman frowned before cupping his palms together and concentrating.
His hands began glowing and when he let Logan peek inside, there was a star. Brightly glowing, and it looked like a ball of gas, but when Logan took it into his hands, it felt cool to the touch. âFor you,â Roman offers. Logan smiles, but gives it back to Roman.
âPut it back in the sky,â he tells him. âAnd then when I look up, I can remember all the good times. Plus,â he added, getting up to brush himself off. âItâs not like weâre never going to space. We will.â And he gives Roman a big smile and walks off to get something to eat.
Patton has a lot of feelings. A lot. So, when heâs crying in Loganâs lap over something one of the other kids say to Thomas, Logan comforts him to the best of his ability. He strokes Pattonâs hair, tells him that Patton is enough for Thomas, and that heâs one of Thomasâ best sides.Â
âWhy wouldnât he want you?â Heâd question Patton. âYouâre sweet, kind, and you take care of us. You know, like a dad.âÂ
And Patton looked at Logan before starting to cry all over again and hugging him. âYouâre really important, too, Lobear. Without you, we wouldnât be here! I really love you! â Patton had cried and Logan kept petting Pattonâs back.
âLove you, too,â he said and kissed Pattonâs forehead.
Anxiety didnât join their little family until years afterwards, when Thomas began developing (not severe enough for medication, but still) severe anxiety. He didnât speak to anyone but he was there, sitting on top of their couch, hissing at certain people. Logan didnât speak much to him, but he did offer Anxiety a book and some coffee.
Heâd accept it sometimes, but more than not heâd snarl and disappear. Logan would leave it out anyway and it would be gone the next time Logan went to clean it up. He made the others uncomfortable by making them worry about Thomas or themselves or something.
Logan didnât have too much to worry about that problem, considering heâd just remind Anxiety that he knew what heâd done. And that wouldnât calm Anxiety down, but it was a start to make Anxiety rethink his tactic for Logan.
(Then, Anxiety disappeared the same day that Remus did, and Logan worried. But Thomas refused to speak about certain things and Patton supported how Thomas thought, so Logan pushed Anxiety out of his mind. At least, until heâd popped back up when Thomas started Sanders Side.)
Deceit was the oldest of them all, technically. Except for the King, but he was split apart. He was Denial, and Self-preservation and many other things all wrapped into one. They traded words, vocabulary cards when they were smaller. Heâd push and Deceit would pull, and together they were very powerful. They could make the Sides do anything theyâd want. Watch a documentary, or play outside, or even make the twins take them all along on their quests so they can help when the Twins get off track.
(That happened often, and then they wouldnât see the Twins for weeks at a time. Once, it was an entire six months. Artistâs/Writerâs Block wasnât kind on Thomas.)
Deceit had given Logan a snake bracelet, made with Romanâs help. It would wrap around Loganâs wrist, and sometimes Logan swears heâd see it wriggle. When he first got it, he could slip it up his shoulder, but as he grew, it only fit on his wrist.Â
Logan had given Deceit a pair of fake glasses. âNow, you can pretend to be me when Iâm not there!â Heâd offered. Heâd given Deceit permission to practice his own power, and Deceit had smiled.Â
But, then with Anxiety and Remus, heâd had to go. Heâd fought it off for so long, but Logan noticed the flashes of orange in the corner of his eyes by Deceit. They didnât know Orange, but Orange knew them and Logan.Â
He doesnât really know what actually changed. But Orange was something that kept everyone separated from each other, and Logan didnât know why.
So he went and asked him. Orange had snarled, and told Logan that Thomas wanted it this way. Heâs just doing what Thomas wanted, and heâs not letting them go anytime soon.
âThomas wouldnât do that to us.â He told him.
âIâm listening to his subconscious, Logic.â Orange had snarled. âThomas is a good person. And heâs not going to let anyone take that away from him.â
âBut we remember them,â Logan protested. âAnd since we know them, weâre going to find them. I promise.â Logan snarled right back.
âWould love to see you try, Logic.â Orange said.Â
âWe have to go find the others!â Logan bursts out, running into their living room. Patton and Roman look at him with raised eyebrows.Â
âWhat do you mean, Log?â Patton asked. âFind who?â
âYou know! Deceit, Anxiety, and Remus!â
âRemus?â Roman said. âWhy do we want The Duke? And when have you called him âRemusâ.â
âWhat do you mean? Weâve always done that.â Logan said. âTheyâre part of our family.â
âLogan, are you feeling okay?â Patton asked. âWe donât interact with the Dark Sides. Theyâre evil, you know.â
Logan stared wide-eyed at him. âNo,â he whispered. âTheyâre not. What... what did he do to you?â
âWhat did who?â Roman asked. âNo one did anything to us. I think weâd remember.â
âBut, I just left him. How?â
âI think you need sleep, Logbear.â
âNo! I need to find the others.â Logan shouted, and then he dodged Pattonâs outstretched arm, shoved Roman out of the way and sprinted out the door.
He found a dark hallway, and then he found Anxiety. He stared at Logan with an expression full of disdain and he snorted. âDeceit,â he called out. âLook at this. Logic came by to say hi.â
âAnxiety?â Logan asked.
âAnxiety?â Deceit called out. âNope, heâs Paranoia. Right, Para?â
âDonât call me that. Iâm going to my room. Call me when you get rid of the nerd.â
âRemus,â Logan pleaded, reaching for the green sideâs hand. He yanks it away and Logan feels hurt.
âHow do you know my name?â Remus snarls. âYou canât use it. Iâm the Duke, for you Nerdy Wolverine.â
âYouâre Remus!â Logan screams. âYouâre Romanâs brother, you guys love each other! You got to remember! Remember when you thought about taking a girlsâ hair and cutting it and then wearing it as a mustache?!â
Remus looked confused. âIâve never thought that.â He said. âWho are you?â He asked. âI donât think youâre the real Logic. Heâd never even think of coming down here.â
âI can go into their heads. Change their minds. Donât you know that?â
âYes.â
âWhat makes you think I wonât make them forget you?â
Logan shrugs, or at least he thinks he does. âI donât.â
âWhy take a chance?â
âLife is about⌠changes.â Logan replied, the clouds suddenly twisting into a butterfly. âItâs about the endless expansion of choices that are right in front of you. And you canât take a leap of faith without the leap.â
âI really need you guys to remember.â Logan pleaded.
âLogan, youâre really scaring us.â Patton said. âThink about Thomas.â
âWhat did you say?â Logan demanded, whirling around to stare at Patton.
He looked at Logan, confused, but the logical side saw the flash of orange in his eyes, barely even a sliver. âThomas wonât want you to be like this, will he?â
Logan swallowed before turning around and entering his room. âShit.â He said.
So, he changes. He laughs at certain moments and lies at others, and he watches Patton with a razor-sharp eye. He always feels like he sees the flash of orange hidden somewhere within Pattonâs eyes, and he wants to scream again.
And, then the Sanders Side begins to come into fruit. Logan watches and he changes. He grows colder the more the others begin joining in, and he flicks his own mind through pages and pages of thoughts that he can use.
When Patton comes back after theyâd visited his room, Logan didnât see any Orange. But Logan kept watch, and kept himself on the lookout. But, when Janus yanked him off screen, he thought well, you bitch.
So, he went to his birthplace. The entrance of Thomasâ knowledge, the library heâd spent most of his time. (Roman made it with a see-through roof because heâs a dramatic bitch and he worried Logan would just widdle away without any sunlight inside the library. And he found the book in which heâd come from.Â
Heâs bigger than when heâd first been born. The book will take a while to make him disappear completely. The library will restock the book beneath itself, in the maze of things that only Logan could run through in less than a week.
The others wouldnât be able to find him, and that is what Logan is counting on.
Orange huffed, before sliding down to lay right next to Logan. âWeâre not bad, are we?â
âNo. Or, maybe,â Logan replied. âWeâre all Thomas. The âbadâ are just hidden away, I guess. You hid for a long time, didnât you.â
Orange shrugged. âPatton didnât seem to mind.â
âPatton liked to hide things.â Logan said. âWhen Thomas didnât want the others around, when he tried to hide them⸺â
âIt was my job.â Repression said. âI took away everyoneâs memories of playing with them, because they were called âevilâ and thatâs what Thomas thought. Thatâs what had to happen. So I did it.â
âAnd now?â
âNow? Deceit and Remus broke through. You never believed it. Thomas wants to learn more, so the memories are coming back. Itâs the same for the others, too.â
So, when Logan Sanders does eventually disappear, Repression goes to find the star in the sky. The book on the ground doesnât move, but Repression knows that it will be taken away soon. When he leaves the building, it wonât disappear, but he thinks it will lock itself. There is no use for it, anymore, except when Thomas asks. And he doesnât ask.Â
The star in the sky blinks, blurry, and looks like it is sluggishly about to go out. Repression reaches up with two fingers and squishes them together.Â
When he looks again, the star is gone; Repression wanders off. The others will realize Logan is gone soon enough (or maybe not ;)
He watches Deceit Sanders make his case for Thomas to understand him; and when they begin playing their game, he watches Virgil and Remus make themselves known. He shares something he thinks Logan would say, and then he watches.
