It’s always cool to see documentaries about the type of house that you yourself live in.
It’s not for everyone but I wouldn’t change anything about it.....except all the shit I’ve got planned to change in the near future, but we’ll ignore that. 🤣

Still working on backyard water systems, I noticed that the most-full #1 barrel would leak from around the out-flow faucet to the #2 barrel when it was full of water to above the connection.
As that barrel is nearly empty, I was able to easily unscrew the overflow spigot, see the remnants of a previous plumber’s tape application, and put it back after rewrapping the threads.
Memo to self: stuff like the barrels freezing when full in wintertime is what really stresses the upper barrel connections.
Juneuary also refilled my rain barrels. I’m not going to gripe because too much of this country is in drought right now, and the on-fire season is just gearing up.
The drip is less this go around. That makes me think more gunk in the spigot.
Barrel three is just stays first to get drained for as long as that takes.
I got out during that last rain dump, as barrel number two was overflowing, and got barrel three hooked to number two. I finally had gotten my ass to the hardware store for the appropriate hardware. #3 is about three-quarters full, if it goes over, I’ll re-engage the flow into the downspout.
At max, this is 150 gallons of water, 50 in each barrel. All this is now water for my garden that doesn’t go on my water bill. That can seriously add up over the warmer months.
