Well, today starts my two week "prep" for radioactive iodine treatment #2. No thyroid medication starting today and labs checked in two weeks. If my TSH is over 30, we will proceed with radiation on that Friday with a 48 hour isolation period extending into the weekend. So if I become cranky, sluggish, forgetful, tired, or even a little chubby over the next three weeks, just remember that I'm functioning sans thyroid!
