it is when they return to greyskull keep after dealing with -- or rather not dealing with -- the clasp that they learn of a forgotten item left behind in gilmore’s secret basement. given that the twins have the best chance of making a quick and quiet trip of it, it is they who set out to retrieve it with promises that they’ll turn back if it seems impossible. she keeps an eye out as they go, hoping to avoid the looters who’ve given themselves to thordak’s reign.
a loud whisper comes when she does spot something: ‘ wait, vax -- ’ her hand reaches out to grab her brother by the arm, yanking him to her side so he can see what she sees. ‘ look. ’ the sight in question is that of the wyverns and their lizardfolk riders that are meant to be patrolling the city but instead have settled down on a rooftop, taking a break from murdering fleeing civilians. ‘ there are four of them. ’ a sign that perhaps they should turn back, but vex instead says, ‘ we could hide in one of these houses... wait for them to move on. ’ not a whole lot of conviction in the words, but they’re there nonetheless.
