Over the last few months, I have seen too many stories and “dramas” regarding white women targeting women of colour to better the reception of their books or race-bait as a person of colour to “better their chances” of getting picked up for a publishing deal. Trump is deliberately race-baiting to take the heat off of him for his poor performance.

One of the best things about weekends this year is hearing from Jim Acosta on CNN.

On Saturday Acosta referred to Tucker Carlson as a “human manure spreader”. TBH, I think he was being too generous to Tucker who has much more in common with the manure than with the spreader.

Loony Republicans are claiming that Afghans are being brought into the country to influence elections. Given that there are fewer than 125,000 of them, they would have a difficult time changing the outcome of a House race — when they are even eligible for citizenship in 2026.

Acosta also addressed efforts by the American Taliban (AKA: the Republican Party) to curtail the rights of women.

It is starting to look like a combination of theocracy and thugocracy. The leaders of this MAGA band movement, people like Marjorie, Madison and Tucker, they're not counting on an intelligence failure or a lack of planning on your part. They're counting on a lack of courage to stand up for your rights in this country. Does that ring a bell? The anti-immigration, anti- Democratic, anti-women's rights forces have all sought these kinds of changes for years, even decades in this country. Their operation to change America forever is well underway. It's just changing in a way they don't want you to see.
