Yk I was on a lesbian subreddit earlier and I saw a post from someone confused if the should identify as bisexual or as a lesbian as the like multiple genders not including men. (So bisexual by its actual definition meaning attraction to 2+ genders rather than being attracted to men and women specifically).

And of course labels are supposed to be tools for communication and cultural identification.

Lesbianism has always been diverse in gender expression, presentation, and performance, so this really made me think. My lesbianism has and will always include women genderqueer people (not to be seen as women-lite). Lesbianism as we know it today has a rich history and it’d be factually wrong (and terfy) to say that it is 100% strictly wlw for every lesbian ever. Some lesbians are strictly binary wlw and that’s great. Some other lesbians are nmlnm and that’s also great. Expansive nmlnm lesbians aren’t taking away anything those that are strictly wlw. They both share the experience of not being attracted to men.

I know people seem to hate the term “bisexual lesbian” as the main people to try to claim that are bisexuals that are attracted to both men and women but claim to have a preference for women. As people will always have some minor variations I wouldn’t be bothered by the term if it was use in the way OP referenced if they felt as though they NEED to make that distinction for whatever reason. It may be redundant to some as Lesbianism is historically diverse. I wouldn’t identify with that myself as Lesbian to me fits like a well loved pair of gloves. On the contrary, it may have its uses in scenarios using hyper-specific technical language. I know some people don’t like to use nmlnm for various reasons so it may be an alternative for that. And ultimately I’m not someone to yuck someone’s yum without concern. Plus shit ain’t hurting anyone so have no reason to hate.

I don’t know what it is but lately I feel like there’s been a trend in fandom spaces were people Stan fictional characters the same way people Stan there favorite musician.

I feel like in fandom spaces sometimes people cross the line between being a fan of a character and being a Stan of that character. The way I view it is if you’re a fan of a character then it’s a character you really love and you enjoy consuming media/fan works about them. That being said you are able to acknowledge character flaws and that not everybody needs to love this specific character.

I feel like it turns into Stan territory once a person refuses to acknowledge that their favorite character has any flaws or has done anything wrong at all in the source material. They also believe it’s a morally failing if someone dislikes their favorite character. This I believe is what leads to a majority of nonsensical fights in fandom spaces and leads to toxic behavior like sending death threats to people over fictional characters.

I’m currently into dc and I see this constantly but it definitely happens in other fandom spaces.

Gountess is 41 years old, and he received his Watchman Chain Pendant from his father when he was a child. (I assume he was around 10–13 years old at the time.) Later, he became a Giver.

Then we have Enjin, who received a Watchman watch after meeting Rudo's father for the second time.

I estimate he was around 13–15 years old at the time. (We don't actually know his exact age back then—this is just my personal estimate.)

Enjin is currently 28 years old in the original work, so the age difference between him and Gontis is about 13 years.

Enjin hadn't even been born when Gountess was around 13 years old.

Gountess became a Giver when he was about 13 years old, smaller or larger.

Enjin met Rudo's father for the second time when he was around 13–15 years old, and Alto was carrying the Watchman Chain Pendant with him at that time. We can clearly see it in the image behind Rudo.

Based on the timeline, Gountess should have been around 26–28 years old then.

So where did Alto get the pendant if it was supposed to be with Gouness, since he was the Giver? Does this mean Gountess had already met Alto and gave him the pendant so he could ascend to Sapher and save his son, Rudo?

And if that's the case, then how did Gountess get his pendant back? Did Alto return it after rescuing Rudo and then disappear?

Or did Gountess somehow recover it by another means? Was this intentional, or did the author make a mistake?

This is really confusing, and I'm not sure whether I've explained my questions and point of view clearly enough.
