I was trying to get some pics of the chins in this lot because it's such a pretty color, but this chestnut was the star.
Storm damage details
It's not good, but it's not destroyed. That's one of the main support beams, and there's damage to several rafters and roof panels. It seems stable, and the cages from this area are up on blocks in the other side now.
I can see how I would repair it, and that it would be a bad idea and just fail later anyway. I'm sure J would do it differently, but he's out of town and idk the "right" way to do carpentry, only the "ain't got the right tools, figure it out" way.
But apparently we have insurance on these buildings? So I'm talking to them about it, and we'll see what happens. I'm thinking we'll hire our extremely handy friend M to fix it if they do give us any money, assuming he has time.
