I have a complicated relationship with Kissing the Mirror and especially their vocal tracks, but I like this one. The solo's great. Kinda has a 90s/early 2000s vibe to it, which I also like.

There’s something in the Midwest that makes people’s perceptions of food distorted.

Like I’m not saying people all need to mix their own ras el hanout in a mortar and pestle or whatever but. Please. People. Put down the lutefisk.

Understand what spices are for. Understand what foods counteract those spices, and how they mix with each other. Learn what a flavour profile is. Infuse a drink with an herb. Put a fruit sauce on your roast. Stuff a sweet potato. Make a marinade or two. Buy a new kind of vinegar.

And for the love of god. If you do nothing else.

that’s what season 1 did for me.

Honestly, for me she was middle of the pack for Season 1. I thought the Kurosawas were the stars of the first season, with Riko and Yoshiko right behind them.

But God, so many of the problems in recent episodes would have been solved so easily by people listening to You and/or asking her to do things. Never mind how she didn’t actually want to do this in the first place and threw away her swimming club to support her friend. And now that friend is going to throw a temper tantrum and try to quit because she didn’t get her way once. It’s Honoka and Kotori all over again, but even worse.
