I've seen some radioapple family!Coraline fanart recently (the idea of the Beldam taking Alastors form is terrifying <3)
And it inspired a mostly canon compliant Alastor-as-Coraline AU which adds some complicated layers to his and Husks relationship, seeing as the only comfort Alastor had against the Beldam was a black cat also voiced by Keith David, and so Alastor both associates Husk with comfort and constantly reminded of that realllyyyyy traumatic part of his life
The only reason he was tempted by the Beldam was because she didn't try to play his mother but rather offered him a place for her to live without prejudice (just straight up lying to him) as long as he stayed as well (so she can eat his soul slowly but you know, details)
(The Beldam/the other world/the door beasty would probably be some kind of left over Thing from before Eve ate the apple, seeing as they're kind of an in-between space)
Anyway I thought you might enjoy it ββ (β Β β β΅β Β β )β β it could easily mix and match with radioapple, I love traumatising my boys!
I only watched Coraline once in my entire life, so I understood, like, half of this. But YO! I didn't know that Keith David voiced the black cat in it! That's so cool!
From what I remember about the movie, I can totally see Alastor being the "Other Mother." Especially with her setting up all those challenges and riddles for Coraline toward the end.

If you're looking for a radiodust fic I have to suggest Anguish Of The Marrow. It's a WIP (being actively updated) and was started before the show, it's sooo good. It has a lot of dark aspects, messy relationships, and brings in eldritch powers, it's also sub!Alastor and has some bottom!Alastor one shots in the same universe. The only thing that's Quite Different (character wise) is Lucifer, but he isn't a big character in the fic and I loved how he was written in the part he was in (very big boss of hell)

Oooh hoo hoo π a new feast to devour, and what a delectable one it looks looks too! Pre-show fics have so much fun potential, I love seeing how people wrote the characters before we got more context with them. Honestly, I'm down bad for "big boss of Hell" Lucifer characterization (I've actually got a radioapple concept around it that I've been rotating in the microwave of my brain), so I am eyeballing this fic with much intrigue.
Also, fuck yes for sub!Alastor!!!

OH MY GOSH THIS IS DEADSPACEGUY! Dude, I fucking love their art. I am so obsessed with their Alastor design and their radioapple content is some of my all time favorite content.
I'm so, so tempted to ask them if I can write a fic based on their fantasy!au but there's so much lore and cool details, I'm not sure I'd be able to capture it fully T.T Actually, I want to write so many fics based off so much of their art.
