Those who enter the tower during this time are undoubtedly here by invitation and are, in any case, completely under Raistlin's control. They therefore see only what Raistlin wants them to see. This might include Raistlin's study, a luxuriously appointed room filled with books, comfortable furniture, and objects of interest from all over Krynn. A fire in the hearth dispells the chill of the tower. The books in this room are not spell books; those are in the laboratory. These books are works of poetry and prose, books on herbal lore and anatomy, books on philosophy, and treatises on magic. The objects decorating the room are also nonmagical, being beautiful or hideous but all curious. These are mementoes Raistlin has acquired in his travels.

"This growing scholarship on queer involvement in workplace organising suggests an observation repeatedly cited by union organisers interviewed for this study: queer and trans people show a considerable enthusiasm for joining organising drives at their workplaces, and these drives are more successful as a result of their participation.
Research finds multiple other oppressed social groups similarly both pursue workplace organising more enthusiastically than their counterparts, and that their leadership leads to more successful campaigns. Bronfenbrenner and Warren (2007: 144) find in a statistical analysis of National Labor Relations Board representation elections, rates of union success vary considerably by the demographic composition of the workforce: "[U]nits with a majority of white men have the lowest win rates (35%) compared to units that are a majority of workers of color (53%), majority women (58%) and especially units that are a majority women of color (82%). " Based on these data, they conclude ‘diversity is not the enemy of solidarity’. Bronfenbrenner finds union win rates are consistently higher in industries with substantial women of colour workforces (2005: 442). These findings validate arguments long made by scholars of gender in labour organising (Crain, 1994; Milkman, 1992; Needleman, 1988; Whitefield et al., 2009; Yates, 2006). The intersectional identities of women of colour, in particular, while marginalising them within the labour movement (Kainer, 2016), pushed their unions to adopt broader social justice agendas (Bernardino- Costa, 2014)."
