I've basically already included all the functionality in my quiltify program that I intended. check it out if you'd like or just look at these provided examples
im working on a program im calling "quiltify". it takes 8x8 patches and mimics an image with them
ive gotta make it so it can make input images smaller so it can have more visible individual patches, but I'm very pleased with the general effect

A pair of cross stitch peacocks. I’ve seen several variants of this basic design online. I can’t seem to find where it originates except an online comment that it might be a traditional Palestinian design. If anyone knows do comment!
