He loved that Charlie wanted to see the best in their people he really did, it was admirable, and adorable .. but also incredibly naive .. he wondered if perhaps he sheltered her too much? He was sure after their split Lilith would have taught their daughter some common sense ?
The air in the room tasted charged and angry .. he kept tasting it as his tongue flickered back and forth in the air , he wasn’t hovering .. so to speak just perched on the 2nd story landing in the lobby , watching the events unfold that’s not hovering !
He knew he had to let Charlie do things on her own he couldn’t overtake everything that wasn’t what she wanted . But he still couldn’t help but be a dad and so he was watching quietly from afar as his daughter attempted to de-escalate a fight between two guests of the hotel .
Normally Lucifer would have just killed one of the more annoying sinners and be done with it but his sunshine was so sure talking and understanding would work.. and maybe it would have but Lucifer could taste the foulness of these idiots souls .. no this wouldn’t end well at all.

And there ; one of the more larger bull like sinners had had enough and raised their fist pulling back to punch— and was suddenly crumpled to the floor as a streak of white and red landed directly on him, crumpling his spine, as Lucifer flared all six wings in front of Charlie , his hands deep into the back of the sinner as yanked out his spine . “₮Ⱨ₳₮’₴ Ɇ₦ØɄ₲Ⱨ ! ฿₳₵₭ Ø₣₣ ! Fire spitting form the sides of his mouth as he took the soul of the slain sinner and crushed it in his bloody claws .
Well at least the tension in the room had turned from anger to fear . Oh how he missed this. Reminded him of his younger days.
