infinity is longer than you think. but i think you know it. i think if i looked i would be able to find it. tan ni: you know the taste of rot. i can see insects dotted, crushed, on the surface of your teeth. crushed, yet they still remain. you know the smell of ant blood - sugary sweet. sometimes you even take it as face value, because you don't care to ignore it. you take and you don't give. there's supposed to be a balance here. but you have never been one for hesitation or reservations, you just take and take and take, and it doesn't matter to you whether or not it's something that should be taken, something that would benefit you in the end, or even in the beginning. what i'm trying to say is that i think you would know the taste of divinity because it's inherently underwhelming. there is nothing to be gained from it. you take it, you fall under its whims, and you can do nothing about it. because you can't go back. you have a good memory, and we are more alike than we are different, therefore. infinity is the same way. what is divinity if not infinity? what is infinity if not taking, and what is divinity if not taking. this is the reason why i stare at your wings, closer to a perfect divine white than any other color, and i think - well, there are some things that shouldn't be said. not aloud, not written down, not typed, not carved, not-

first Tsubasa Ootori AND NOW TSUBASA TAKAYA? Chat next generation should also have another Tsubasa.

DUDE IT’S JUST A TRADITION AT THIS POINT. But anyways live laugh love Tsubasa Takaya (I also love Tsubasa Ootori oh my gosh there was a time I would NEVER shut up about him and I only watched Shogun Steel/Zero-G for him) BECAUSE OH MY GOSH. I LOVE THIS LIL GUY. SHY. LOVES BLADING.

alright, this isn’t necessarily an episode review but KABEISBWWKWBWJSHSHA I need to yap for a second.

First off, love how Tenka & Robin are warming up to each other more. Robin was still annoyed at her but it’s clear he’s starting to like her enough to slowly start considering her his teammate. It interests me so much how they both seem to banter well. They’re on an equal footing. With Jaxon, Robin is the overreactor/dramatic one. With Multi, Robin is getting along well enough with her or he’s the one getting teased. With Tenka though? Both of these idiots are fighting each other on every single little thing. Cupcake? Fight. Robin’s storytelling skills? Fight. Tenka’s snarky remarks “now that you’ve been reduced to a side character”? Fight. Robin droning on and on to the point Tenka’s so frustrated she nearly whips out her sword? Fight.

I KNEW IT. I KNEW THEY’D END UP HAVING SOME SORT OF DYNAMIC I’D LIKE.

Plus it isn’t like Robin to like, keep hating on someone. I mean, he visited Packun the other day (I have a post ab that upcoming in a sec) and seemed to have fun despite what Packun did, and now he’s slowly getting along with Tenka.

Honestly with these two episodes, I also feel like Tenka isn’t evil. She doesn’t have anything to get out of Robin telling her his reason for Blading, unless she wants to become closer with him. And really, she was only gunning for Blader X in the beginning so I think that’s nice to see. She even got really invested.

I also LOVE her nickname for Bird. Birdbrain. She’s taken a liking to him I fear. Soon she’s gonna come up with another if he annoys her again.

BUT ANYWAYS BACK TO TSUBASA.

Oh my goodness gracious IT COULD NOT BE MORE OBVIOUS. Tsubasa had a crush on Robin. I screamed at every single one of Robin’s actions as he could not be any more dense. EVEN TENKA AND MISS MYODEN PICKED UP ON IT AND THEY’RE ONLY HEARING THE STORY. I choked on a nugget whenever he didn’t pick up the memo.

Thank you Tenka for pointing that out. Robin may be turning into an Adrien Agreste I fear /j

But I really liked how simple and heartwarming this storyline was. And I’m SUPER duper happy that Tsubasa was able to tell his mother he didn’t wanna become a Pro, and how he instead ended up being a manga illustrator. GO TSUBASA GO!!!! FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS!!!! AGHHHHH WE ALL CHEER FOR YOU!!!!

I know it’s probably not possible but I can dream that Tsubasa will appear again one day. Maybe he will maybe he won’t. Even if he doesn’t you bet I’m gonna write fanfiction about him and his friends. I just want them to hang out and do things they wanna. IT WOULD BE SO COOL TO IMAGINE WHAT WOULD’VE HAPPENED HAD TSUBASA NOT LEFT BECAUSE OF HIS FATHER’S WORK!!! I still don’t think he would’ve become a Pro, but I’m sure he and Robin would’ve kept being friends.

Wondering if Robin didn’t get his phone until Tsubasa left and that’s why they weren’t able to keep contact. THEY SHOULD TOTALLY FIND EACH OTHER AND BE BESTIES AGAIN.

I don’t think Robin’s ever noticed how popular he is either. I mean, everyone’s constantly asking him to help out, he’s always trying to be recruited for stuff, he always has top marks, and everyone reacts positively to his presence.

I think Tsubasa was nervous about being approached by a cool guy like Robin. Understandable, and also, as someone who moved schools I WAS ALSO TERRIFIED WHEN SEEMINGLY COOL PEOPLE APPROACHED ME.

But oh my gosh ROBIN.

Him playing soccer then Tsubasa cheering him on, then Robin becoming determined to win and doing so? HELLO?

Tsubasa drawing Robin as the MAIN CHARACTER OF A STORY?

Tsubasa giving Strike Hawk to Robin and then muttering something that almost sounded like a confession?

Tsubasa VERY happy about Robin trying to get into Blading (his interest) and yapping about the things ab his bey all of a sudden?

Tsubasa admitting that he likes having fun with Robin and the others (only Robin was mentioned by name)?

Tsubasa losing on purpose because if he won that meant he and Robin wouldn’t be able to be together again?

Tsubasa writing a letter with feelings into it and giving it to Robin?

Dawg, Robin didn’t just understand that crush it FLEW over his head like a bey that got Xtreme Finish-ed.

My favorite part has to be the frames of the two birds though. They’re clearly representing Tsubasa and Robin. Just as quickly as they became close, they were quickly torn apart by the story.

TSUBASA TELLING ROBIN TO KEEP STRIKE HAWK WITH THAT SAD LOOK ON HIS FACE GETS ME. He’s not even touching the bey, he’s holding onto the ends of Robin’s fingertips.

AND HIM RANTING ABOUT HIS BEY? 😭 I love this lil guy PROTECT HIM AT ALL COSTS. People yapping to their favorite person about their interests is precious. If someone likes you enough to talk about what they like/consider important to them THAT IS A WIN. Dude their friendship is WIVAWIWGWKWBWJWBE PETITION FOR TSUBASA TO COME BACK ALREADY

Also… another thought but that’s for another post.

Robin getting to the point of why he ACTUALLY started Blading ONLY FOR IT TO JUST CUT TO JAXON MADE ME CACKLE.
