Light is too repressed to start anything like that without overthinking. L however just does whatever he wants. While Light is too busy debating the social implications of holding L’s hand in public, L has already linked their fingers and is pulling Light along to a bakery. And since L is a mess of a men who almost gets run over on the way there, Light decides it’s worth getting a few odd looks if it keeps L in one piece and lets him feels that soothing warmth in his heart whenever L smiles and squeezes Light’s hand in his.

The rest is about the same as this. L feels like it, so he does it. Light bends over one day to pick up a file he dropped and L will snicker and grab his butt (after making sure no one is looking, for Light’s sake of course, and because he is not totally unaware). Light yelps and blushes, but no one seems to notice so he lets it slide, choosing to reciprocate later in private. Which he does. A lot.

L likes to slide his arms around Light’s waist whenever he is waiting for him to do something domestic, over swept in warmth, love and familiarity and a desire to hold him close, to keep them together and make sure he’s really allowed to have this. It’s why he doesn’t mind how much longer Light takes to get ready than him. He will get behind Light, hugging him from behind and watching the mirror over Light’s shoulder as he finishes to style his hair, or fix his tie. L will kiss Light’s neck and peek around him while Light cooks dinner for them in the nights Light insist L eats something healthy and he will slip his arms around Light’s waist, smell the food and sway them slightly to a rhythm he hums.

The belt loops though, that’s all Light. Because while he is good at restraining urges when they are out in public, keeping his hands to himself all day only makes his finger itch to finally touch once they are alone together. And hooking his fingers in L’s belt loops is a discreet but effective way to pull him inside their house and also drag him along, chuckling, to be slammed against a wall, hooked fingers leaving his belt loops towards his zipper, so that Light can get back at him for all that teasing public touching L did during the day. And this is a big part of why even does it, so Light gets back at him, free to touch and worship once they’re alone.

Oh hmmm sort of? lmao

I mean it’s a lot better now than it used to be for most of my life! I can tell they’re trying to be better and i have also been better about managing my expectations of them, so like i’m trying to be less disappointed in the ways they hurt me and even when they still do i suppose it does less damage now than it used to when i was younger, plus the fact that they have been making an effort means a lot and makes it a lot easier to forgive when they mess up because i know these times they weren’t being malicious and wanting to hurt me i guess?

I don’t have any specific plans! There’s always posting the new fic chapter lmao and i might hang out with a friend but idk yet! I have to work on that mockumentary paper i was telling you about tho so thats kinda :/ but hopefully i’ll have time to do some fun stuff too!!
