Swipe for some thoughts from our young persons on our December book club read, Hasan Namir’s ‘God in Pink’ - a revelatory novel about being queer and Muslim, set in war-torn Iraq in 2003. It follows Ramy, a young gay Iraqi man struggling to find a balance between his sexuality, religion, and culture and Ammar - a sheikh whose guidance Ramy seeks, and whose tolerance is tested by his belief in the teachings of the Qur'an.
Have you read 'God in Pink’? Share your thoughts with us in the comments below, and if you’d like to join us and read along in the future , you can sign up for our young persons' club via the link below!

hi!! sorry to bother you but do you know any good books with trans girl lesbian love stories? you tend to have good queer book recs :)
Oh no. So I actually do not. I know several het and gay trans stories which are excellent, but I’m afraid I’m fresh out of recs of trans lesbian love stories. But perhaps someone else can rec some? Clearly I need to fill this gap in my own reading world.
