#queer french

Good news! I’m opening a Queer French beginner group :) 

We will meet once a week, on Wednesdays 5:30pm CET (so 11:30am EST and 8:30am PST), to chat, learn the language, practice in a fun and real-life way, but we’ll also have a 24/7 Discord community to keep practicing in between sessions and connect with other LGBTQ+ folks on the same journey! 

This is a small group experience designed specifically for LGBTQ+ beginners. No boring textbook French, we'll learn through real situations, real vocabulary, and through having fun together. The goal is to get you to learn the French that actually reflects who you are: inclusive language, queer vocabulary, and the basics you need to exist and connect in French in general, all the while getting you to level up on general French of course. 

For all this, the price is 110€/month. The course will last six months and the idea is to start on July 1st if possible!

Just thought I'd share it in case some of you want to watch it and/or support the channel :)

It's a workshop for Queer folks who are learning French (especially those who live/intend to live in a french speaking country), to help you better understand how to be inclusive and talk Queer!

The next one will be this Friday (May 8th) at 18h00 French time, and we'll talk in depth about how to talk about Queer identities depending on contexts (friends, neighbors, work...)

It goes way further than that, and spoiler alert but you can always get more vocab, that's not what will stop you from freezing when it gets real or out of your comfort zone 😅

I learned English at school like everyone else. But I only really started to exist in English the day I used it to be myself, to write queer fanfics, make friends on Discord, talk about things I actually cared about.

That's when I understood that feeling like you belong in a language is not the same as speaking it.

If you struggle to connect with people, talk about your identity without simplifying, or just be yourself in French, what you truly need is to allow yourself to exist.

You need a space that's completely safe, where you can learn, grow, laugh, talk about random and serious things...Just exist, but in French.

So I built it, it's called Belonging in French. small group, 6 months, starting soon.

it's not a French course. it's more like a place to become yourself in French, to belong, to connect. Finally.
