My friend @effiecalvin is republishing her books! To help with the launch I thought it would be fun to make a minicomic! Meet Princess Esofi, who is very determined to Do A Good Job and Princess Adale who feels Incapable of Doing a Good Job*.

Spinster Speaks is a passion project from TheBlackSpinster. I’m a mid-20s Canadian-Caribbean Black Queer Woman (say that 10 times fast) who’s been ideating on a passion project for many months, and it’s nearly here. This quarterly newsletter, launching January 2026, is a digital platform to share what’s happening in the spinster-sphere. Highlighting journalism, sharing videos, artistry, and topics related to unconventional womanhood, this project is my opportunity to connect and discuss all the ideas swirling around my head about what a Spinster looks like in the modern 20s.
