Well, Leonor's confirmation will begin soon and as usual I haven't seen anyone talking about what is going on. So before we all enjoy the pretty pictures let me talk to you about Spain's national sport: 🌠 nepotism 🌠
Leonor wasn't meant to get confirmed this year, since never in her school it's been done for her class year (4° de ESO), it's always been done the next year (1° de bachillerato). But where will Leonor be next year... That's right! In Wales! (which I'm fine about if it's what she wants so don't come for me).
So yeah, they've changed it for her. Oh how convenient right? I'm sure it is so for her family, but not so much for the families of her class mates, since because of the Pandemic they'll only be allowed to bring their parents and siblings, no grandparents or anyone else important in their lives. Which would have happened if they could have done their confirmations the year they were supposed to do.
Please don't get ne wrong, this is in no shape of form a criticism against Leonor, she's 15 and like any 15 year year old she's not the one in charge. Obviously I blame her parents and the school to bend the rules for her at the expense of everyone else. What on Earth is this supposed to teach her? Oh don't worry Princess if there's anytime an inconvenience in your life you can use your extreme privileges to get rid off it.
I'm sorry but I find the hole thing completely ridiculous. (And yet very Spanish, 🇪🇸 olé, olé 🇪🇸 I guess...). And if they are your faves I think you should call them out. Lord imagine the Cambs pulling off something like this, there would be riots...
Anyway, with this out of my chest I hope Leonor has a wonderful confirmation (I hope the priest doesn't over do it with the olis like mine did and that she isn't jealous of her class mates with older siblings who can have them as godfather/godmother like I was). And that she takes this as an example of what not to do when she is older and has to make decisions for herself.
Am I mad enough to tag this? Yeah, let's loose followers 🥳🥳🥳
