I have a headcanon that all Quartzes are a lil dumb. I mainly just want them to be just beefy ditzes that were built to be menacing but are actually complete idiots. Kinda like bulldogs. Big eight-feet-tall bulldogs.

[I apologize in advance because I cannot find the first one for you Liz but I hope the second one is enough ?? I might just end up giving you a miniature essay but, uh, I’m gonna delve into the mindset of Odysseus below the cut Enjoy and thank you for the ask!]
💕: How is your OC like with physical affection? What are their boundaries? Do they enjoy being touched or is that a no-go? Is there any reason behind this?
For Odysseus, physical affection is somewhat of a rarity. Now, do not mistake this as being unaffectionate. That is, by far, not the case. Rather, Odysseus is a character that is very selective about whom he is physically affectionate with. There are only a handful of people in his life that Odysseus has been truly, openly affectionate with and they are as follows:
Laertes- Odysseus and his father have a close relationship, though it is perhaps not like the typical relationship one might think of. Laertes taught his son much, if not all of the skills that he knows as a leader, a tactician, a farmer and a man. The husbandry skills that Laertes passed on to his son are valuable ones. Odysseus cherishes these memories and the ones that remind him his father is a gentle man.
Antiklea- Odysseus’s mother was always openly affectionate to her son. These forms of affection came in touch as well as gesture. Of his parents, Antiklea is the one that provided him with much of the physical aspects of affection that he partakes in with others. A clasping of hands or a brush of palms to arms, gentle kisses to brows, all of these manifest in Odysseus’s now as a man. She set many of his boundaries, as well, for who could know her son better until he knew himself?
Penelope- Of anyone in his life, it is his wife that receives perhaps the most fully-formed of Odysseus’s affections. Each touch is deliberate but no less meaningful, strong and sure and something he does not freely give to people e does not care for. Penelope is the single soul in this world who sees him entirely.
Telemakhos- Odysseus and his son are still learning one another but Odysseus is no less affectionate to him than he is the boy’s mother. Much like his own father was with him, Odysseus shows his affection for Telemakhos in the things that he can teach him, pass on and give. Physical affection is not rare but it is earned. Despite that, he has a deep love for his child.
Diomedes- As a comrade-in-arms, the Argosian king is one of Odysseus’s close kin. Their relationship, as well, is something of an anomaly, a mix between that which he shares with family and the public persona he portrays to his people. As the war stretched on, however, walls have fallen. By the time they leave Troy, Diomedes and Odysseus are incredibly close and their affection for one another is clear.
As for Odysseus’s boundaries, there are very few of them, however many of them focus on what is or is not suitable for the public eye. Though he was raised in a fairly affectionate household, the king of Ithaka is still somewhat elusive to his people. While not stern or harsh with them, his people do not see past the walls he puts up, walls that only grow thicker and higher once he returns from the war and his long journey home. He is decently okay with physical touch but it, just as affectionate at its root, needs to have a time and a place.
