- Instead of a preset choice of 3, you're able to choose your starter from the entire dex, and it'll always have perfect IVs.

- Instead of catching via a Poke Ball ending the fight then and there, you have to seal a Pokemon (equivalent) you want to catch, and then defeat them in a limited amount of turns to get them on your team.

- You have a PP system of augmenting particular stats instead of needing to EV train.

- The Pokemon equivalent have unlockable skins, so you don't have to grind for shinies.

Some of my friends were asking about this and what to do, so I decide to make one whole post about it! Alot of people have been wondering how to get your puppets back, and most thought you will get them after defeating Makai.

That’s quite wrong, it’s much MUCH longer than that.

This will be a bit long, I’m sorry! ^^;

Of course, there’s spoilers, so please be warned!

Note: Although your favourite puppets might have been in your imported save, this is by no means any reason for you to not train your current party. The enemies you will face post-game are hard, so don’t be shy about reincarnating! Remember, you have to beat the entire game to get your puppets back!

And even then, there are Extra forms which are vastly superior to the normal ones, so please use them.

Game version as this FAQ is written: v1.011

This will primarily be focusing on getting your imported puppets back, which ultimately means beating the game in post-ending. Obviously, there’s lots of things to do in this game, but I’ll just tell the bare minimum. And to do all that, you need to first gather all the volumes of the books Kosuzu needs!

These Demon books are written in a form of a diary, and Kosuzu believes that these are connected to the puppet incident.

But I’ll get straight to the point, here you go!

Puppet Fragment Volume Locations:

人形断章 －其之壱－ (Volume 1) You already got this, it’s the first book which Kosuzu already has.

人形断章 －其之弐－ (Volume 2) You get it in the Great Mausoleum after defeating Miko. Unmissable.

人形断章 －其之参－ (Volume 3) Talk to Koakuma for it. I presume you get it after you completed the SDM in the main story.

人形断章 －其之肆－ (Volume 4) For clearing the scenario in the Tengu Village. You get this from Aya for finding the things which have been stolen by the three fairies.

人形断章 －其之伍－ (Volume 5) You should have gotten this, you got it as a prize for beating the tournament in the Underground, where you faced Mima.

人形断章 －其之陸－ (Volume 6) After clearing the Garden of the Sun, it should be inside Yuuka’s house.

人形断章 －其之漆－ (Volume 7) After clearing the Myouren Temple. I’m sure Byakuren gives you this.

人形断章 －其之捌－ (Volume 8) After clearing the Netherworld. You need to beat Youmu, Yuyuko, and a certain high-leveled fairy located at the Saigyou Ayakashi (The giant pink tree at the north)

人形断章 －其之玖－ (Volume 9) After clearing the Shining Needle Castle. Read below for details!

人形断章 －其之拾－ (Volume 10) The last you will get. Will be given to you when you step outside of once you collected and read all nine volumes.

Acquiring Volume ⑨:

This is most likely the part which you are stuck with. Getting this volume has a large series of side-quests, which opens up alot of things for you. Here’s a small walk through for this!

You need to get Volume 8. This means clearing the Netherworld.

You need to visit the Scarlet Devil Mansion post-game. Remilia will make you Flandre’s playmate, and you will need to go to the basement to battle against Flandre. Remember to go back to Remilia after beating her to get 5(?) Threads of Fate!

The two above are the requirements for this quest... I’m pretty sure of that, at least. ^^; But once you got those two done...

Gap back to the Human Village. There should be one of Akyuu’s servants standing somewhere around this area. She will tell you that Akyuu wants to see you.

Get inside the Hieda Residence and talk to Akyuu. She will tell you that the Puppet Liberation Front has resumed it’s activities.

Walk outside the mansion, and you should see Wriggle... in a deja-vu kind of way too!

Remember the first battles in your adventure where you fought Cirno, Rumia, and the others? You’re doing it again, in the same order as before! Upon beating Rumia...

Congratulations! You’re now a member of the Puppet Liberation Front. You will be taken to their... hideout. Sunny, Star, and Luna will talk about how Medicine, the leader, is missing, and someone else seem to have hijacked and took over the former Liberation Front, thus with them making a new one.

So everyone agreed to find Medicine. Gap and travel to where you last fought her. You know, the flowery fields? After you beaten her, everyone will start rejoicing on Medicine being found again, and while everyone doesn’t know who the leader is, they DO know they live in a castle.

Gap your way to the Youkai Mountain, and you will find Aya standing around there. Talk to her, and she will bring you to the castle, while she makes a ‘scoop’.

Complete the Shining Needle Castle, with the expected boss behind the hijacked Puppet Liberation Front. There’s no random encounters, but it is quite a maze! Finish it, and you will get Volume 9!

After collecting all the Volumes:

Buy lots of revives or potions, or even equips. Whatever you need to get done. Make sure to train and equip your puppets as best as you can. I will just let you know that the puppets you will face are between level ranges 70~90.

When ready...

Gap to the Hakurei Shrine, and travel as if you’re going to the Hakurei Cave, but instead of going left, go right.

You will get yet another deja-vu. You know what to do here. Talk to Yukari. I assume whichever choice doesn’t really matter.

Surf to the right. You will find a cave. Enter it, and... It’s quite straightforward from there. Good luck! You will need it!

If there isn’t a guide about matchmaking yet, I’ll try to translate the interface, AT LEAST, although I doubt it...;;

But there’s one thing for you competitive players...

There is random matchmaking. It’s the first option in the matchmaking menu.
