Pulwama Attack Conspirator Burhan Hamza Shot Dead in PoK
Burhan Hamza, one of the key conspirators linked to the 2019 Pulwama terror attack, has reportedly been killed in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). According to sources, unidentified gunmen opened fire on him in Muzaffarabad.
Hamza, also known as Arjumand Gulzar Dar, was associated with the banned terror outfit Al-Badr and had been declared a terrorist by the Indian government in 2022.
🇮🇳 He was accused of helping plan and coordinate the Pulwama suicide bombing that killed 40 CRPF personnel on February 14, 2019 — one of the deadliest terror attacks on Indian security forces.
Reports say he had moved to Pakistan in 2017 under the pretext of higher studies before becoming an active terror commander operating against India.
The Pulwama attack had triggered nationwide outrage and led to India’s Balakot airstrikes targeting terror camps across the border.
