Trusting Prescription Meds Again
I had a psych eval this past Friday and it went really well. I was prescribed Buspirone and Hydroxyzine for anxiety. I'm on day 2 so I haven't felt a difference yet obviously but I'm hoping this helps me live my life more.
Anxiety has 100% taken over my life the past 2-3 years. I've missed out on opportunities, memories, events, too many parts of my younger years of life that I can't get back. With me putting in the work to retrain my brain, change my habits, and taking medication, I might actually be able to get back to my true self.
I'm proud of myself for trying to trust medication after my awful experience with meds during childhood/teens. I am in total control of my healthcare and it is really nice. I'm trying for now and hopefully these meds will help make trying not feel so hard.

I need someone with an education in psychology to do an in-depth psychoanalysis of Kaigaku. Despite my efforts to stay impartial, I don't know if my amateur one is tinged with favoritism because I adore him or not. Also, I am always curious about how real-world diagnosis can be applied to fictional characters.
Meant to update on my psych eval, I was right and it was confirmed I have Autism and adhd. The fact of knowing makes me so relieved because now I know what I’ve struggled with my entire life but also at the same time it sucks cause im just… stuck like this forever.
Prompt #537
System A is currently getting tested for a dissociative disorder. They assume they'll be diagnosed with OSDD, but to their surprise, they get diagnosed with UDD instead!
This wouldn't really be much of an issue, but since they were expecting an OSDD diagnosis, most of their collected information and resources on it are geared towards that – and while a lot of it is still applicable, it's estranging to see so many texts that refer to the reader (them) as having a disorder that System A does not have. Now what do they do with all of this?
Bonus: Some of the resources System A collected were about how to come out as having OSDD. How do they adjust those guides to their new diagnosis?
