#pseudosystem

Any member that acts as if they are multiple / of a subsystem/sidesystem but are, in essance, a singular member.

This could be due to one being plural in their fictive source but not anymore, being the introject of a systemsona/singletsona, and more.

This can be replaced with any term that fits the situation or feels right, such as pseudoplural, pseudopolyfragmented, pseudosubsystem, pseudomedian, etc. [pseudoplural, pseudopolyfragmented, pseudosubsystem, pseudomedian, etc.]

Even professionals can misdiagnose. Mistakenly interpreting your symptoms as DID is possible and it’s not exactly the same as faking. It’s important to take diagnosis slowly and to not influence your symptoms by taking on symptoms of whatever you’re researching. 

Okay. To clarify, I’m assuming you’re saying that you intentionally or unintentionally created a non-DID pseudosystem for coping purposes and that you’re pretty sure you don’t have DID. 

I know this isn’t what people want to hear, but I’d highly highly recommend you seek out professional help. It’s very very likely you’re mentally ill and would be diagnosed with something (BPD, other PDs, and maladaptive daydreaming are common misdiagnoses I see with pseudosystems). You will then be able to work on healthier coping mechanisms for what you have. 

There’s a chance you have DID/OSDD, and a therapist would help you work through that. You have this coping mechanism and I’m not going to tell you to get rid of it, but rather please work through WHY you have this and see if any other coping mechanisms would help you to feel better than this one. Not dealing with the root or core of the issue and instead using this to cope won’t help you feel better.
