genuine question:
is something a pseudohallucination if i am aware that it is not real, but only because i have solid evidence that it's not? like, i know that a siren noise from the outside is not real because i asked a friend about it, but without their input i wouldn't have known? i can suspect it bc i have a history of those things but i have no way of knowing it if it's not something with a visible result (like the washing machine finishing noise) or someone to tell me
the general definition doesn't help me with that at all
i want to sleep but am hesitating from silence even though music and stimulation to tune out my brain is only straining and painful but --

tpfw whose voice is that you are having pseudohallucinations of? it’s on the tip of your tongue. the actress from that show? no…
To the anon who's hearing "voices": these could be pseudohallucinations, where you experience something you know is only internal. I have a similar situation and it's likely caused by past traumas and dissociation, where parts of my mind handle different thoughts that I'm not aware of, that I then sometimes "hear" inside my head like a conversation.

today at school i had a down and i was pseudohallucinating again. i never got this bad after a long time. thank god i ALWAYS have my medicine with me so i could take pills to relax again. i'm glad it was a short term and i'm feeling really good right now. if something bothers you, you can always write me private messages, i'll always have an open ear for everyone. ❤️
