Check out this little nug!!! This is a twobanded Japanese weevil - (Pseudocneorhinus bifasciatus). It must have spent the winter in the soil because its body is still caked with dirt in places (so a lot of that honky tonk badonkadonk is enhanced). I caught it in a sweep net while cataloguing stuff for the City Nature Challenge.

These weevils are parthenogenetic so I wonder what they are doing.
