I'm Subtitling "Deus Salve o Rei" in English & I Need Your Feedback!

Hey everyone! I know how long fans have been searching for English subtitles for Deus Salve o Rei with absolutely no luck, so I decided to take matters into my own hands and do it myself. Yes, it's a massive project, and yes, it's time consuming, but honestly? I enjoy every second of it.

It's still a work in progress, but Episode 1 is fully subtitled and ready to watch! Before I move forward with the rest of the episodes, I'd love to hear what you think. Drop your thoughts on:

Readability - are the subtitles easy to follow?

Timing - do they sync up well with the dialogue, are they too fast?

Placement - are they positioned in a good spot on screen?

I’m proud that sometimes I end up making silly words when I don’t remember the actual word to describe

I’m proud that I have a broken accent sometimes (my accent in British is different and better than my accent in American English)

Im proud that I can switch back and forth between languages

I’m proud to have a community that can understand my struggles when I’m trying to talk and I can talk in a mix of both with them

I’m proud that I know SO much in both

I’m proud of the things most Karens are mad at me for (cause sweetie if I wanna talk in my native language at Walmart you bet your ass I will)

I’m proud of being smart, and you should be too

And if you’re not yet bilingual but are learning a language fluently, I’m proud of you too cause languages are real hard

I’m proud I had the education available to learn it or the ancestors or nationality to learn it from.

If any Karen wants to pick a fight with you, we will curse her together.

If any friend/ relative of yours wants to make fun of your broken accent, I’ll pick a bone with them.

I've recently figured out I'm somewhere within non-binary and picking a name is stressing me out!!

I happen to use Spanish, Portuguese and English on a regular basis, so I would really like a name that doesn't sound too weird in any of those, because it's stressful enough to change my name without so many people mispronouncing or misspelling it (bonus points if they end up making it a heavily gendered name on top of it), immediately knowing I picked it out, making fun of how weird it sounds and so on.
