This is a bit of a late reaction to Sims Hardin's late March "Best of Punk" article on Bandcamp. The second band mentioned was The Fix and their 1994 album "Best Days of Your Life". Hardin wrote, "These 13 tracks were recorded in 1994 and left to rot somewhere until Pop Affliction [Orange County] excavated them for all our pleasure; how they never saw the light of day until now is beyond me, as they should have been reissued about a million times over by now."Â
Agreed completely. This is glorious, perfect-with-a-little-snarl power pop. It reminds me of early Jam. Hardin mentioned Protex and The Nerves.
The Fix formed "out of the ashes of ska band The Skarabs" and were based in Oxfordshire, England.
