The dead poets society
I don't really remember if it was critically acclaimed at the time it was released, but I think Dead Poets Society deserves all the praise it gets for being such an inspiring film. For the longest time, my motto was "Seize the day! Suck the marrow out of life!" because of that movie. I still think it's pretty underrated.
