Rog would say that he deserved this. Then again, it was Rog’s fault he was hoofing it back to the precinct while soaking wet. After everything they’d been through, he refused to let Riggs get the passenger seat soaking wet. Something about making the vehicle musty and he was sure there was more but he breezed out about the time he realized Rog was serious.
“Oh, this?” Riggs pulled at the front of his soaking wet shirt. “You would not believe how shoddy giant aquariums in very upscale restaurants are. Bump into one during a minor altercation and...” He spread his hands out, mimicking the water spilling out of the broken aquarium. “Soaking wet. However, all the fish survived and were declared healthy by the exotic vet who happened to be celebrating his anniversary. So there is that.”
He rest his hands on his hips, chewing on his bottom lip as he furrowed his brow. “That was probably more than you wanted to know, wasn’t it?” The poor woman probably regretted even asking the question now. Who needed to know about the exotic vet?
