Sailing in San Diego, sign me up. Most of our mini vaca was spent with me “willing away” a stomach bug and searching around for some cool kiddo goodies (kazoos and glow slime). But, it was nice to sneak away for one day and have a mommy + daddy day. Although it was my first time on a sail boat and although I was quite ill, I couldn’t help but feel the exhilaration this activity brought. This is definitely something we will introduce the kids to. I can’t wait to share these experiences with them. Monday Mantra...my babies are with me wherever I go and are present in whatever I chose to do. Strolling through San Diego, working up my appetite AND, most importantly, on the way to a local children’s store (Geppetto’s) to gather up some goodies for the little ones, we came across this building. Although my posts typically do not suggest this, I very much enjoy architectural beauty. This building stood out with it’s playful elegance, and made me smile because that is who I’ve become as a mom. I’ve embraced the reality of play but at the same time hope to retain the elegance that comes along with maturity and at times, motherhood. Thank goodness we had the adult beach trip of a lifetime because when we arrived, our four beautiful children were waiting for us, along with a nasty stomach bug that has persisted until now.
