Tassie 1997. Dip Falls, almost precisely in the middle of nowhere out of Stanley and Boat Harbour in Tassie’s North.  What is interesting about these are that the falls are over a pretty massive outcrop of columnar basalt - look it up.

... and so lets see some wattle up close.  Beautifully delicate. And even the unopened buds are interesting.  2011 at Carrington Falls, just out of Robertson in the Southern Higlands 140km South of Sydney. Can’t tell you the species.

Did you know Robertson showground was where some of the movie Babe was shot?

I posted this little fellow way back I’m pretty sure, but he’s so handsome, worth another go.  From 2012.  A dead spotted pardalote (Pardalotus punctatus) on the back lawn. (I’d always called then firetails, but I’m wrong).  We only ever get the briefest glimpses of these as they flit from sheltered spot to sheltered spot avoiding the aggressive noisy miners.
