Considering topics/research questions to dig into further. Top three that I looked at:
Digital Voting & Blockchain Technology.
Digital voting has always had the major concern of security and privacy, and blockchain technology yields the potential of resolving this concern. By utilizing a distributed database, and chaining each validated record to the one that preceded it, the blockchain of voting records becomes un-hackable. Voter registry, voting mechanism, and the voting process can each benefit from blockchain.
How might we inspire trust in a digital voting system that utilizes blockchain?
Can we improve the online process of registering/voting?
Digitizing Social Programs (For example Food stamps).
Large % of apps are designed to help manage life for the middle to upper classes of western society, however there is a much smaller % aimed at low-income americans. For example, registering for housing assistance, managing food stamps, even identifying fire hydrants that need shovelling after snow storms. Initiatives like Code for America and Blue Ridge Labs aim to connect developers and designers with local/state governments.
What digital services could benefit lower-income families and help to reduce the income gap?
AI/Robotics and their impact on the labour markets.
How can I equip myself for the proliferation of robotics & AI?
Is my job in danger of being automated?
What will the future economic landscape look like as AI plays more of a role?

DSDN104 - Make & Modify - Precedent design
For this project I decided I wanted to look into the word 'Crash' as soon as I started thinking about this word a lot of ideas forĀ unconventionalĀ precedence came into my head, Spanning from crash test videos of cars onĀ YouTubeĀ to something as simple as crashing a car on a Xbox game.
The 3 descriptive words I picked:
Noun - Collision/Impact: The act or process of colliding; a crash or conflict. Verb - Crashing: Collide violently with another object Adjective - Destructive:Ā tendingĀ toĀ destroy;Ā Ā causingĀ destructionĀ Ā orĀ muchĀ damage
