Comments: A good guess, but we are sorry to inform you that Mr. Priest is not in fact Project Python. The mythological Greek Python was believed to dwell at the center of the Earth, beneath the Oracle of Delphi, and produce the vapors that gave the Oracle her ability to make predictions. The myth goes that when Zeus lay with Leto, and she was to deliver Artemis and Apollo, Hera was jealous and sent Python to pursue Leto so that she could not deliver wherever the sun shone. When Apollo was grown he wanted to avenge his mother and pursued Python, and chased it to the oracle of Gaia at Delphi, where he killed it with his arrows. This myth is thought to be an allegory for the dispersal of the fogs and clouds of vapor which arise from ponds, Python, by the rays of the sun, the arrows of Apollo. When Project Python, otherwise known as Lynne Esen, was discovered, it became immediately apparent that she would be difficult to bring in, possessed of the ability to turn her body into a cloud of vapor, and bring other people and objects into that vaporous state with her. Had our agents not had an empty bottle with them to contain her vapor, she would likely have eluded capture for much longer than she did

Here’s an example fic, it’s not deceit centered but there is sympathetic deceit as a character, i do a bit of writing and stuff sometimes and I have a few fic ideas floating around in my brain that I am yet to put on paper.
