Happy Thanksgiving! Here's my annual fall art with Nain. I spent a lot more time on all the various fruits and squashes than I anticipated, but I had a lot of fun with it. It's not every day I draw still-life objects, so this was a good change of pace! While still accompanying my character art of course. :)

Project 16
Someone to Remember
"I was told that if I looked into the mirror, I would face a monster. When I did, I only saw someone I loved."
This month marks 10 years of existence for Nain, so I really wanted to draw something extra special for her! Sometimes I can't believe how long this character has been with me. My baby.
On another note, drawing a skeleton of Nain was very crazy, I felt like an archeologist digging through her design and figuring out what goes where. Not perfect by any means, but a very fun concept!
Project 16 - Nain

The time has come to post and ramble about my OCs. Starting with Nain, my deer-dragon goober! She's the main character of a comic series I'm writing, and also one of my favorite OCs. I'll post more art and info about her later, along with her friends as well!

Evaluation:
This project has been a rollercoaster if I’m being honest. I have really enjoyed working with Katherine and Kieran but I think that we all agree that next time maybe we don’t work as a group as even though as friends it’s great, the three of us have comping skills as our main strength we decided that maybe if we support each other and do separate projects.
Anyway, I really feel that I have learnt so much from this project I am happy with the overall product, I know for a fact that I have learnt some valuable lessons throughout this. I think that the pre-production work really opened my eyes, such as writing the script, dealing with actors and other things.
I was a bit disappointed with a few things in the project such as the filming process and mainly the fact that I didn’t use Nuke. I used nuke to test out some footage but not for the final thing. I found myself more focused on the glitches and the overall edit of the trailer than advancing my Nuke skills.
Next project I think I want to tone down my production side and work on just one or two shots and comp them in nuke as this is something I missed in this work. Overall though, I am happy with how we worked as a team as we didn’t have any drama between the three of us, only with external circumstances.
I’m sad to be finishing second year as it feels as if it has gone very quickly but I’m excited for the future and third year to develop my skills even more.

I’m super happy how this looks and I think overall this has turned into a decent trailer. I know there’s a few things which I’d change already but overall I’m happy with this.
Geraint List:
On hand in day, we all were pretty happy with how everything was shaping up. So Kieran and I decided to speak to Geraint about how we could improve our work and he gave us this list:
Kieran had graded his shots but sadly had to head home, so I worked through the list improving as much as I could. I also got Geraint to teach me some Adobe Audition to improve the sound editing. This did help out quite a bit and I think that this made the trailer a lot better too.
