It also helps that my style is some what similar to how Looney Toon draw their characters, since I have also got a better idea of how the eyebrows should work without actually having eyebrows.

So... I tried to make a GIF with After Effects and Photoshop... That’s it! My first GIF!

The winner of both the Jury's Choice and People's Choice awards at the 2016 iMapp Bucharest competition, Interconnection transformed Bucharest's Palace of Parliament into a psychotropic exploration of the interconnectedness of all things, man. Created by Limelight 3D Projection Mapping, it draws inspiration from contemporary visionary art and architecture, sacred geometry, physics and chemistry, and mixes them all up into a properly mind-altering five-minute trip.

I also did some random sketches during the chat (those at the very top of the first sheet, and the ones at the very bottom of the third sheet) I am trying to make it more of a instinct little hobby thing I do now with sketching. I think it is working so far, and hopefully when I get to animating, I will have more of a natural instinct to sketching out the characters pose to pose in the animation.

This is a little sketch (I guess some what life drawing thing) I did of the character  Din Djarin from the Disney show ‘The Mandalorian’. Since I recently finished it, I was inspired to draw something from the show, and along that since the character is wearing armour, I though it would be a challenge for me to draw something “unique”. I quite struggled with the torso since, as I said, I am not use to drawing armour, but I did my usual mistake trying to draw the detail first before the actually shape/form. That is why I believe the helmet came out better, because its a simple shape, so I didn’t focus much on the detail first. This was fun drawing to do, but it was also a challenge do to the detail, but the more and more I draw, the more I understand the importance of doing shapes and forms first before doing detail. I know its the same thing, but the more I do it, the more the idea drills into my head, and the more it will hopefully become an instinct for me. Especially since in my a animation focusing on the pose to pose, it is very important to consider the character form and shape.

Yet again, I only gave myself 4 minutes because I felt like it helped me focus more on the form and shape of the body. I was little messier this time, but that’s because I wanted to see if I could get in a little more detail this. I did start of with softer lines, but I though maybe adding some little bits of shading here and there would give a little bit more depth in the drawing, which I feel it did. It makes the drawing come of messier, but it does feel more lively. But I did not make that my main focus, yet again, I wanted to mainly focus on the shape and form of the body more then anything else, since I feel that is what is more important. And having to rush myself did help with that, but since I gave myself time to do some detail, I may need to shorten my time a little. I it is helpful to do long drawings, but since I want to do rough animations first, I feel like working on short drawing will help me more with form and figures like it has so far.

These are couple of drawings I’ve recently worked where I wanted to practise more working with line of actions (which I have talked about in the past, but it is where you make a character do a certain action, but the action as to be in an arc) Usualy I star off by drawing a basic shape to help me draw out the body and or head, but this time I started off by drawing a line of action, then basing the shapes with the line. This actually made things a little easier to draw a pose in an arc stance, because most of the time i can be a wild guess. I may try this whilst animating my pose to pose to keep a more constant flow to my animation, sine it is always best to work in arcs.

I prefer the top drawing (although may be a little hard to see do to the scan) I worked with a lot more smoother edges, making the drawing (I believe) feel more alive. But in conclusion, what I have learned from these life drawing is it best to focus more on the form and shape first, then detail later, but as well to be a lighter with the pencil.
