Developers are not prioritizing accurate progress bars because they exert more effort in more important tasks, like making the app run even smoother in the background.

Franpa may have been overgeneralizing when he said old games had clear progress indicators for their loading screens and new games only have little animations for theirs but that did make me consider how to get one in Project Special K.

Todayโs pet peeve is programs that scan your computer for one purpose or another โ like your antivirus program or a disk utility program. Very few of them tell you how long itโs going to take and that is what peeves me.
Iโm left sitting here wondering how long itโs going to take. Is it going to be 2 minutes or 20 minutes? Do I have time to start (or finish) something else while Iโm waiting?โฆ
