Did you know that part of our brain is not evolved to watch movies?
Let me explain it better. Part of our brain is not evolved to watch movies, TV series, etc., so even though part of our brain knows that what we are watching is not real, the part of our brain I mentioned in the beginning doesn't.
That's why we get scared when we watch horror movies or get sad when watching sad movies.
The same thing applies to when people crush over fictional characters.
It's not weird and people who do are not crazy.
It becomes toxic only when it interfiers with your life and your relationships, but other than that it's completely harmless.
