Okay, no wthat one anon asking about the Riddlerbots got me thinking. How does a bot recognize organic beings? They recognize Batman and Catwoman as enemies, and Riddler as their boss, yes. But I wonder about the more 'grey' areas, for lack of a better word. Like other henchmen. I know Riddler finds them equally disposable, but something tells me if one of his bots attacked or killed a human worker, it'll just be another inconvenience. Plus the robots are stationed around the city. If one attacked or killed a random thug, or even a civilian (Idk if the bots were stationed before or after the evacuation order), again, more work. And I feel like Riddler doesn't want to have to deal with the collateral damage or send workers to take care of it when he's so busy and needs all the hands he can get to have everything working in order. At least, he doesn't want to deal with MORE collateral damage interferring with his plans, I think. Idk, I'm just thinking out loud I guess? What do you think?
The Riddlerbots are programmed to identify Batman and Catwoman (and Riddler), therefore any other person that wanders into their vision probably registers as just plain movement. As 'human' perhaps, but without a parameter that tells the Riddlerbot it should be paying any particular attention.
To attack someone at random would mean they can make decisions independently, which I don't believe they're shown with the ability to do.
