In each area (male, ladies, etc), how many skaters have already announced what their new short/free skating skates will be and what are they? I know that we know shoma's and yuzuru' short program but I was wondering about everyone else in figure skating.
Thanks for asking!
I donāt have any exact numbers, and it has been rather a lot, as well as some weĀ āknowā but havenāt been announced yet (likeĀ Joshua Farris and Give Me Love, or Jason Brown and Hamilton), and others who havenāt mentioned a thing.
Some skaters like to announce early; others like to announce later, and some just donāt announce at all, simply turning up for their first competition of the season with their new programs. I tend to keep track of my favouritesā programs in a table, but thatās not for everyone. I notice weāre seeing a lot of repeat programs this season from the bigger names; if this is a new trend, I have to say I donātĀ like it.
The best resource I have found for keeping track of music is theĀ ā2017-2018 Programs by Disciplineā thread on the Golden Skate Forum. The first posts of that thread are kept up to date with skatersā music. Additionally, as the international season draws closer, skatersā ISU bios will be updated with the new music.
For me, Iām about half and half - Iāve got a threeĀ āknownā short programs, three announced official short programs, two announced official free skates, and about four other skaters/pairs for whom I have no freaking clue for either program, hahahaha!
