I wish antis wouldn't immediately convince themselves that everyone is an ontologically evil individual (like a child predator) just because of drawings or stories. Even if the drawings/stories did reflect real life, which they don't, the appropriate response would be to inform people based on actual studies and medical professionals opinion. I harbor no ill intent towards antis, tbh I hope that they educate themselves on the science but most antis have the same arguments and pitfalls
There's always a few things you can spot; they'll go for ad hominem, appeal to common sense, anecdotal evidence, anti intellectualism and Kafka traps. Any 'honest' or 'civil' anti will eventually just boil their opinion down to "it doesn't feel right" since that is the only way to actually deny profic is to be explicitly anti science.
It's the same energy as saying "oh I know young earth creationism is true, the scientists are just misinterpreting the data/it's a plot from Satan or because of atheism! Just wait until someone finds definitive proof that the earth was created 6000 years ago/ look at this totally legitimate proof of the earth not existing for that long!!"
They don't have the ability to live and let live, taking the position of being an anti fundamentally requires a belief in the denial of the personal ongoings of people entirely alike unrelated to you because of the hypothetical that they might do something bad.
I also want to say: antis aren't stupid, no belief makes you stupid. There are geniuses who believe in dumb conspiracies and morons who believe in intelligent concepts. Your beliefs don't determine your intelligence, but it is quite stupid to be intellectually dishonest.
In general I think profics should try and avoid arguing with antis who don't want to have a conversation. You exhaust yourself, you make them want to harass others more, you feed into the cycle. Imo the best course of action is to be as kind as you can muster, defend yourself if you wish but if it's just insults with no substance and no point then turn the other cheek and block them.
