I don’t ship kataang but I like more than Zutara. Also it weird how zutara shippers mad at Aang for getting jealous when Katara also got jealous when Aang was dancing with other girl in that one episode.
Double ship standards.

Had to do it.
Pro-Zutara bingo!
Hi. I'm in the Zutara fandom and a great chunk of it happened because I liked their fire-water aesthetic then later on they just made absolute sense to me after reading a lot of analyses/metas about the ship.
I sometimes like Katara and Aang together, especially when they're portrayed as older individuals and I'd like to explore them further. I would like to ask you if there are must-read analyses/metas (or even fics??) you could recommend in support of them?
Hi, anon! I want to apologize for leaving this in my inbox for so long. I wanted to make sure I was able to devote time and mental energy to answer this and I haven't had much of either, lately. Also full disclosure that this is a kataang blog and I mostly block content from other katara and/or aang ships, NOT because I don't support it (ship and let ship and all that!), just because I try to curate my internet and fandom experience to be one that I fully enjoy.
I love love love reading (AND writing) older kataang. I've actually been enjoying middle-aged domestic kataang a lot recently, probably because I am a middle-aged domestic myself, haha. There are a lot of great metas out there. This is one of my favorites, which goes into the three possibilities of Katara and Aang's relationship post-series. Also this one which shows the way kataang's relationship develops over the course of the show. There is also an entire @kataang-meta-archive blog where you can peruse some of the metas that have been written on the ship (the blog hasn't been updated in a bit, and since it's a collection you can expect some metas to be more thoughtful or in-depth than others, but there are a lot of good analyses there).
As for fics, oh, there are so many.
Broken Pieces Still Belong (rated T) by @thinkingisadangerouspastime is not technically a shipping fic, but a canon-compliant exploration of Katara and her grief and her feelings and motivations throughout the second half of book 3 and her journey towards forgiveness.
Blue Ribbons (rated T) by @justoceanmyth is a beautiful exploration of Katara's understanding of and relationship with Aang's tattoos and his scar. It takes place after they're married and has a lot of amazing cultural elements too.
The Ghosts That We Knew (rated T) by @itsmoonpeaches is an amazing, haunting post-war story involving spirity shenanigans, delicious foods, murder attempts, and a vengeful Katara.
Three Times (rated G) by silverthunder is a missing scene fic that explores Katara's feelings about Aang when he's missing during the finale.
Without Water (rated T) by @chocomd is one I'm still in the process of reading (like I said, not a lot of time recently) but it's AMAZING--it takes place in the time between books 2 & 3, where Aang is in a coma.
And since you said you particularly like the idea of them older (I get it, they do seem to get together really young if you're thinking of them in our world/universe), here are a few fics where they still get together young, then break up or are separated for some reason, then (I'm assuming in one case since the fic isn't finished yet!) get back together again when they're older:
Drag You Down (rated G) by @chocomd (still in progress)
This List from @thekataang-fanfiction-archive but be warned that many of them are rated M or E (not all, though).
Unspoken, Undeniable (rated T... so far) is one that I've been working on. It's not a break-up/separation story, but a fake-dating in-universe AU where they don't kiss on the sub or at EIP or in the finale but remain best friends, until Aang comes of age and the powers-that-be start pressuring him into something he doesn't want. It's still in progress as well.
I hope this helps, anon! And know that I'm not trying to "convert" you or anything--I fully support everyone's right to ship and let ship! You asked for recommendations and this is what I could think of off the top of my head (and with extensive help from friends). I do love kataang and love to talk about and write about and explore their relationship, though, so if you have any other questions or want more recommendations of different types, please feel free to reach out! I also want to say I really appreciated the respectful and kind way this ask was phrased, despite "ship wars" (which I do my best to avoid and it sounds like you do, too). Thank you so much for the ask!
For all you fellow Kataang fans out there:
What was the first moment between Katara and Aang that made you fully support and ship them together?
I don't ship kataang for good reason. Aang is not reliable as romantic partner that scene where aang told katara to not seek revenge and forgive her mother murderer. Remember how he get jealous just watching the parody of them in theater where katara have romance with zuko. Aang please she's not your girlfriend. This is why people ship zutara. Zuko is actually more better option as katara love interest than aang. Same goes with chaggie the reason i don't ship them because charlie feel like a child who need constant watching and vaggie is the baby sitter. The show only prove that to be true atleast in pilot is tolerable
That's really not true. You really need to see times where he was reliable to her. He supported her in many things like with the Painted Lady incident even though it threw them off their course. He supported her learning fighting bending even though the Noth banned women from it and even protested by no being taught by Pakku. Just because he didn't want her to take bad route doesn't mean he's unreliable. Seriously, sokka her own brother wanted her no to do her and I don't see him being called unreliable. You don't have to validate everything your partner does and need to let them hear the truth they don't want to hear. Also they were practically together at that point at the theater. I would be justified if shippers in rea l life made a play that invalidated your feelings towards someone.

some anti kataang think this scenes is possessive can someone explain to me how is this possessive
this scene is cute
Another shoutout to @rainyturtlecollector for this queue above!
And I agree. The fact that Aang had deep inside been wanting to kiss Katara yet always restrained himself whenever they rode on Appa disproves him being possessive if anything.
Also, why don’t you guys take a look at the pictures above about how she felt about what Aang said and what she does in response. ;)
