✅ Jon and Daenerys look like genderbent Rhaelya and they will recreate Rhaelya romance:

- grand

- gives Jon a connection to his own parents

- becomes a positive parallel to Rhaelya's love. Aka a love that triggered a war vs a love that will save the world from extinction. They will succeed where their predecessors failed

And guess what?

They put Aemond on it! Because apparently "he was charmed by a witch." Oh my god... Even though it's explicit in the text that Aemond raped Alys... I'm stunned.

And also because of HOTD's stupid invention, where Aegon II took him to the brothel against his will when he was 13. Thanks, HOTD, for your nonsense...

Oh, and they also put Lyanna on the list. Because apparently she was raped by Rhaegar. I can't take it anymore.

Of course, they also put Alicent. Thanks again for the idiotic inventions HOTD came up with.

So basically, they made a rapist in the original text. A woman who wasn't raped in the original text. And a tragic romantic couple in the original text and on the show, in their fucking list...

Just to be clear, it mixes books and the show, so there's no coherence in the mess.

And the caption shows the person begging GRRM to stop.

While Rhaegar never raped Lyanna (in the books or the show), Alicent wasn't raped in the book. And Aemond is actually the rapist one in the book (with Aegon II).

And I don't give a damn that, for these characters, it's only the show that matters. If that's the case, it means two things. First, with Aemond, they're trying to victimize a rapist by turning me into a victim (they do the same with Aegon II), and they're adding gratuitous violence against women by inventing a sexual abuse scenario for Alicent's character in the show.

So, yes, GRRM wrote a lot of this type of scenario with sexual abuse, but GOT and HOTD have always done worse in their adaptations. For the gratuitous shock value on the viewer. Blame the writers of those shows, for fuck's sake!

Rhaegar and Lyanna are characters who, despite their death in the main timeline, constantly haunt the story and who have well-defined personalities being described in the GRRM books, in addition to being actively compared to central and main characters of the plot of the main timeline (Rhaegar with Daenerys, and Lyanna with Arya). Unlike Elia or Helaena for example...

Again, there is no evidence that Rhaegar was obsessed with the prophecy and wanted a Visenya. It's a theory that is generally based on nothing.

Then... Yes of course, Jon's problem with being stigmatized as a bastard is Rhaegar's fault and I don't know... just the fault of Westeros society perhaps ? That GRRM also blames precisely the treatment of these children who asked for nothing. It's not the parents to blame in the story, but once again, simply Westeros. Thinking, even about the simplest thing, doesn't seem to be your strong point...

And again, reading between the lines is understanding that Lyanna was in love with Rhaegar and left with him of her own free will. Lyanna has made her decision, made her choices too. And maybe once again the real problem in all of this wasn't Rhaegar or Lyanna for how their story ended, but the world of Westeros in general once again ?

It's crazy to blame Rhaegar for everything, especially for Lyanna's fate, when ironically Ned, Lyanna's own brother, doesn't seem to hate Rhaegar at all and in fact only seems to think well of him. Strange if we're supposed to hate Rhaegar for supposedly ruining Lyanna's life. Especially since once again, GRRM himself doesn't blame Rhaegar either. You do this alone.

The only despicable person seems to be you at the moment, being the one who voluntarily comes to annoy me when I didn't ask for anything to try to throw your "knowledge" at me.
