Since last the October I stopped supporting and trusting the pro Palestine movement because of how those antisemitic activists are treating jews and the victims of October 7th (especially the hostages) and aren't helping the Palestinians. I even blocked some mutuals for even defending and supporting hamas and now trying to unlearn some views I used to had before ("You are not immune to propaganda" sums this up the best).
I hate Hamas for making things worse for Palestinians and the families of the hostages; yes both sides with their governments are shit and horrible and I blame them and those who support them. But the civilians (those who are against this conflict and their governments) are the only ones I feel sympathy because they are the ones who are paying the price.
It makes me upset to see people being just outright cruel towards jews and scapegoating them as always. I have seen tons of anti-jew towards them in Tumblr that I cannot blame the jews for reacting defensive!
It makes me sick and ashamed for not realizing this sooner that I distance myself from anything related to said movement and slowly becoming apathetic and desensitized because I don't know who to trust and advocate for. I hate this so much because I care for those civilians, especially those innocent children paying the price....
it's one thing to be on the receiving end of a shitton of Jew hatred but it's a whole other thing when that hatred is wrapped up in this pretending to care about a vulnerable group but instead actually advocating for things that are actively harming said group (of course this is the thousands of years of antisemitic tradition doing the same thing it always does)

This is the "Pro Palestinian" ideology at its core. Sacrifice Palestinian lives to use their corpses as a raciopolitical cudgel against Jews, especially the Bad Jews Who Believe In Self Determination, all in service of some sort of a religious ritual summoning of "The Revolution" which never comes. Palestinians are literally human sacrifices towards some political "greater good" that will never materialize because human sacrifice and Jew hate or any other sort of bigotry have never made society better ever, and especially not in combination.
Anyway there are obvious litmus tests such as whether a person can firmly condemn the genocide, rape, torture, butchering, and kidnapping on October 7th and want hostages to come home from tunnels and random civilian homes in Gaza or whether they try to deny or excuse October 7 and curse the hostages for existing and being a nuisance. Whether they condemn as the cause of all death in the region or support Hamas and Hezbollah and Houthis. Whether or not they believe a two state solution is the only way to preserve security and dignity and autonomy of everyone living in the Levant, or whether they chant slogans calling for the ethnic cleansing of 7 million Jews from their native lands. Because these these are all things upon which basic humanity of the situation rests. The thing that is misunderstood is Zionists by and large want Palestinian people to have sovereignty over our native land because two thousand years of imperial settler colonialism put those people at the crossroads of three continents and, like us who were exiled from our native lands and then all exiled again from wherever we got exiled to whether it was Europe or the Middle East or North Africa and also don't have anywhere to go, especially with a new wave of Naziism in some of the few diaspora countries we once thought were safe for us (just like Jews living in Germany thought before the rise of Nazis and even for a while after).
Most people have never met a Jew whose ancestors were exiled to the Middle East or North Africa two thousand years ago and remained there until they were exiled again...because almost all of them ended up in the newly created Israel as refugees.
They were kicked out, of course, because a bunch of Jews including Holocaust refugees had just declared independence in their native land and therefore all the Jews that had been part of the social fabric of these countries (mostly as second class citizens called Dhimmis, but still...) had to be kicked out, naturally, you see.
The irony is these countries by expelling their Jews because they were upset that Israel existed, only made Israel stronger, because it was just about entirely Israel that absorbed these people who now today make up 70% of Israel's 7 million Jews.
Anyway. Israeli Jews and the almagamation of peoples today known as "Palestinians" have nowhere else to go. As much as "Pro Palestinians" and Donald Trump wish otherwise, and two state solution with Hamas gone is the only thing that will help Palestinians. And that is the only real Pro Palestinian position to have.
