2015 Fantasy Football Ranks
Here we go, my first cursory ranking of all QB, RB, WR, TE & DEF positions for the upcoming season. Take this as a template because there will be many changes before I draft over Labor Day weekend. If you are unfortunate enough to be drafting this weekend, I pray for the health of your players. As far as I’m concerned, it’s far too early to be drafting yet, but hey, some habits are for suckers and I’m just not one of them.
I will revise accordingly as we approach the end of draft season. I will also post a few different “If I was drafting...” pieces so you can understand how to draft almost the same team in any draft position with comparable talent.
WARNING: I don’t rank overall. I find that to be foolhardy. If you are looking at every player against every player, you won’t draft the best team. I like to implement a tiered system to determine when and where to draft what position. It’s all dependent upon league settings, league size and roster, not who vs. who in the grand scheme. Best player at their position at that time for your team is what you are looking for when drafting, not oh they are still available
I have included the average draft position for each, their BYE week and my color system which is similar to a stoplight - green means go ahead draft them, yellow means caution as there are dangers to consider and red means I wouldn’t touch them in any draft wherever they may fall. Additionally, I plan to work up a video for each position to highlight my reasons for where these players fall, why I would or wouldn’t draft them and other intangibles you won’t get anywhere else.
