This has been lurking in the back of my head for a while. I love soulmate AUs, especially where there are many varied types of them instead of "everyone has a timer or name(s) on them". There's one rewrite I've written I think over 16,000 words on (I can't find the file. I hope I didn't delete it ...) but the issue here is: I don't think anyone will read it because A: it's really world-building for how I see that kind of world existing & B: it's set pre-canon, & C: it features an older (by the time of canon at least) couple that while at least mildly liked in the fandom isn't really written about that much. It would probably end up being pretty long, maybe under a hundred thousand words but over sixty thousand. Or not. Don't know for sure yet.
Btw, this is about GX & the couple is Samejima x Tome.
So, should I write, finish, & post it, or focus on other projects & do this when I have nothing else sparking me?

Samejima x Tome or Chancellor Sheppard x Ms. Dorothy. I like this pairing for the simple reason of parenthood. In this show, there aren't many adults that can resemble parents. But Samejima's wise ways and his funny moments can resemble a father just as well as Tome's kindness and denseness can resemble a mother.
I just like the idea of Duel Academia having a mother and father like figure.Â
