Private: Im sorry for telling you what to do, okay? I was merely saying what my boss told me to tell you. I know what happens in the real world, believe me. I have been observing it for a while. I know that assistants are usually the ones who does this the paperwork but if it’s a student involvement project, my boss likes to take precautions. Especially with the equipment we have in the studio. Also, I love the fact that I can put this on my resume. I really do, but maybe we can meet up for coffee to discuss this whole thing on middle ground because I think that you’re an awesome guy for letting me do this.

It’s fine. I just won’t have you tell me what to do, when I know exactly what I’m doing. The deadline isn’t until July, so we have quite some time to figure all of this out, don’t worry. I definitely want to sit down and talk it through. I have a storyboard to show you. @pierceajames

Okay, that’s fine, but please don’t try to teach me how to be a director. If you’re not happy with the way that I work, then tell me. I’m not forcing you to be on the production. In the real world, a director would have an assistant to take care of all of this, with the limited amount of time that a director has on their hands. I’ve been going through the script, the audition tapes, locations and permission slips. I’ve been getting rights from certain products; I think I’m on top of this. So please don’t tell me what I need to do.
