A certain amount of local business boosting is probably inevitable, but if you aren't running this kind of thing with an "advertorial" strapline for cash, maybe tone it down a little?

I started my career in print journalism more than 30 years ago, and went on to study and then teach about its seemingly inevitable decline. By chance I find I have moved to a province where newsprint production is a major industry and where the regional paper, The Telegram, still hangs on after 145 years. But it's been sad (if sometimes entertaining) to see how my steadily shrinking printed paper increasingly stumbles as it's slowly starved of resources by its (currently insolvent) owners. So here's a place for anyone who also notices to share, enjoy, and ponder... You can offer your own examples here

2015 started as a year that would never end, but soon it was gone too soon. This past year I've learnt a lot from different people, but most of all by shooting a lot and pushing past mental barriers. I've had the privilege to work with, photograph and hang out with some of the most fascinating people in the industry, looking back on some of the work that I have produced for the daily and the weekly newspapers this year, I've realized the truth about the 10,000 hour rule.
