Print Screen Error With Dual Monitors

I have a dual monitor setup running Windows XP, and when I hit “Print Screen” and try to paste into Paint, it fails with the error “error getting the clipboard data”. Holding down alt-print screen works fine, to just capture a single window.

Is there a permanent solution to this? I’d rather not mess with third-party tools.

Print screen with cursor in Windows 7

I’m trying to capture some screen shots for a tutorial. When I press Print Screen on my keyboard and paste into an image editor, the cursor goes. The “tooltips” (if any) do print, but I need the cursor to show users where to click.

Is there any way to keep the cursor and print the screen?
