Scenes from my desk… prints / print test edition.
Quality control, it’s part of printing.
My printer is irritated about the humidity, despite the fact that the dehumidifier is running.
Ah, the print test…
Print test! :D

Ok so. I love New Mr Printy. I haven't had him even plugged in for months and LOOK AT THAT COLOR TEST. hfbsfnbkmngkmdsgnhill

photobook: test prints
over the past week, i have been test printing with different formats and paper types to asses my ideas and reliability to do the photobook.
my initial test prints were done on : plain paper, card, brown paper and recycled paper. i found the brown paper achieve the best quality for the images as they help and a natural colour to the images that plain paper can't achieve.Â
paper name : CEW 500
pro’s: earth like colour cast, traditional feel, visual textureÂ
cons: an ok image quality
when i got back home from uni, i decided to do a test print on canvas as i might use that later on in the project.
pros: great visual and tactile aesthetic, a traditional look.
cons: flimsy, could fray on the sides, ok print quality
so far my current tests take me to consider using canvas for the covers and the CEW for the main images. though further testing with print quality for different papers like (xeon symphony office papers and cyclus)Â
