Did I need an iridescent soap dish to use as a jewelry bowl? Probably not.

I like shiny, sparkly things.

I cleaned and refilled the hummingbird feeder, much to the annoyance of the hummingbird that was trying to get one last meal in before housekeeping closed the kitchen.

I also cleaned the glass on that 1980's screen door that 'filters' all my hummingbird pics. That also annoyed the hummingbirds.

I worked from 10:30am to 9pm last Sunday, and she worked 6-8 hours as well.

So, Mother’s Day brunch today.

It was eyeglasses o’clock again…

These arrived on a Friday when I was rushing out the door to drop something off on my way to work… the Friday after the Monday when I vomited 5X. So, between being a bit out of it and also studying for the ICD-10-CM course exam — I didn't have time to marvel at my shiny new eyeglasses. I'm more delighted with them than I thought I was going to be, since I ordered them as ridiculous glasses to wear for work.

So, to all the other women out there who buy the most ostentatious glasses they can find — I salute you! Oh, these have been very popular.

The 'white' ones are more colorful and pearlescent than I thought they were. Yes, I was expecting to be underwhelmed. I'd previously ordered more rectangular/thinner frames in that acetate, and they didn't exactly knock my socks off…

If you know, you know, and, yes, they are most frequently the pile of feathers leftover in your yard after a hawk has eaten.

Anyway, looking out the front door, they're just sitting there on the ground. I thought it was 2 of them. Turns out there's a juvenile out there with what is presumably "the Mom."

Update: the juvenile can sort of fly, and the next time I stepped outside it was on the porch.

Easter feast evolved to the casserole stage.

It's sliced potatoes (boiled) with diced onion and green peppers in a sauce made of sour cream, milk, garlic powder, cayenne powder, and smoked paprika, baked with a layer of mozzarella cheese on top. We have the improvised tropical deli jello salad, carrots, and cranberry-orange bread with cream cheese baked in.

Sometimes I gotta watch my shows.
